Floor Plan Professionals in Hertford, Hertfordshire

“We had an excellent experience working with our architect Douglas from DPE Architecture on our house project in London. From the very beginning, they took care of everything — initial ideas and architectural drawings, planning and dealing with the council, through to the technical stages and project management during the works. Communication was always clear and professional, and whenever an issue or question came up, they were available to advise and find a practical solution. Having one person/team coordinating the different stages made the whole process much easier and took a lot of pressure off us. We are extremely pleased with the final result and really appreciate the time, attention and support they gave us throughout the project. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for an architect in London, particularly for a house renovation, extension or loft conversion where you want someone who can support the project from the first drawings right through to completion. Highly recommended and a pleasure to work with.”

“We meet Sophie and James from Model Projects after meeting several other architects. We realised that they understood our tastes and what we were trying to achieve with our new extension. We liked their enthusiasm. James' design for the build fulfilled our brief, which had to include the height for a chandelier!! Model Projects also helped us through the torturous planning stages with Greenwich Council, and introduced us to several builders. We chose Profast, who were excellent. We felt supported by James throughout the build, especially when there were issues with the construction of the windows. We are very pleased with the final results and we would recommend Model Projects to anyone undertaking a similar project.”

“We chose Randa for our two storey side extension - a major project for us, as it meant almost doubling the size of our home and creating the space we hope to live in forever. With two young children and a plan to stay in the house during the build, we knew it would be disruptive and demanding, so we needed someone we could really trust. We’d had other designs drawn up before, but none had captured our imagination. Finding Randa changed everything. The process she took us through to get to those first designs was brilliant. She invested so much time in understanding us - how we live now, the problems with the existing layout, and how we wanted our home to feel afterwards. Some of our favourite features today are ideas we’d never have thought of ourselves but that came directly from those conversations. She listened carefully, welcomed our ideas, and wasn’t afraid to challenge us in the best possible way - sometimes coming up with clever solutions to accommodate what we wanted, and sometimes guiding us towards an even better outcome. The two alternative designs she eventually presented showed real creativity, flair, and attention to detail. We came away from that meeting genuinely excited - for the first time, we had a design we knew we wanted to make happen. A build of this scale involves so many parties - council planning, building control, engineers, builders - and with busy jobs and small children we knew we couldn’t manage it all ourselves. Randa guided us expertly through the process. She struck the perfect balance of being friendly, efficient, and proactive. She understood that we weren’t always the easiest clients (radio silence for months at a time, scattergun ideas, over-ambitious requests!) but she handled it all with patience and professionalism. She kept us on track with reminders and nudges when needed, helped us filter through our many ideas, and always made sure the things that truly mattered to us were delivered. The build itself went smoothly, thanks in no small part to the comprehensive, detailed plans Randa produced. Now that it’s complete, we couldn’t be happier. Our home has been transformed in ways that have genuinely improved our day-to-day lives. We love being here and often look back on choosing Randa as one of the very best decisions we made.”
