“A wonderful architect and a genuinely personal service Choosing Ben Liddle from Edge AD, was the best decision we made in our large renovation project. What immediately stood out was the depth and quality of his personal service. Ben didn't simply come in, measure the house and start drawing plans. He took the time to get to know us as people — importantly where we were in our lives, our priorities, how we wanted to live in our home and what mattered to us. He carried out a remarkably detailed survey of the property and took the trouble to meet with us several times at home. His approach was relaxed, patient and never rushed. Through thoughtful and careful questioning, he teased out ideas that we hadn't always been able to articulate ourselves. He then translated these into a number of different design options, giving us the opportunity to explore what worked best for us that were aligned with our budget. As our ideas changed and developed, Ben was incredibly patient, meeting us many times at our home, and always willing to revise and refine the designs with us. We certainly never felt that we were simply another project on his books. One of the things that made the whole experience so much less stressful was Ben's recommendation of our builder. He introduced us to a wonderful, highly skilled and communicative builder and Ben remained in close contact with the builder throughout, helping to ensure that the project stayed true to the design, and managed the issues as they arose. That continuity was invaluable. He genuinely was invested in achieving the right result for us. Ben also made very helpful introductions to suppliers for things such as our kitchen and tiles. These recommendations saved us considerable time and, as a bonus, we were able to benefit from discounts through his introductions. Most importantly, we absolutely love what Ben designed for us. His designs are beautiful, but they are also incredibly practical. He understood how to make the most of the space we had and managed to create a home that feels both spacious and that we are proud of. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Ben and EdgeAD. His architectural skill is excellent, but it is his personal approach, attention to detail and commitment to his clients that really sets him apart. We are extremely grateful for everything he did for us and delighted with the home he helped us create. Mike and Audrey Ho”

“We recently used Studio J Architects Ltd for a very ambitious project at our property and I genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough, especially James. From the very beginning, James was professional, approachable, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. What stood out most to me was that he was never pushy at any stage. He took the time to listen carefully to every idea, requirement and concern I had, no matter how many times I came back with changes, questions or new thoughts. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. My vision was to create a large double-storey garage building in the rear garden of my property — something I honestly thought would either be impossible or face endless objections and complications. The proposed building actually had a larger footprint than the host property itself, so naturally I expected major challenges with planning. However, James carefully designed the scheme in such an intelligent and professional way that he managed to overcome all the potential issues before they even became problems. The end result was absolutely incredible — planning permission approved first time round. That alone says everything about the level of thought, experience and attention to detail that went into the design and submission. James made what felt like an overwhelming and stressful process seem straightforward and easy from start to finish. Communication throughout was excellent, pricing was fair and transparent, and the overall service felt extremely professional from day one. You can tell James genuinely cares about getting the best possible outcome for his clients rather than simply producing drawings and moving on. He really understood the vision I had and turned it into something achievable. If you are considering any form of architectural work, planning application or ambitious project, I would strongly recommend speaking with Studio J Architects. Thanks to James, what started as a dream idea is now becoming a reality. An outstanding experience all round.”

“Working with our architect was an absolute pleasure. Eloise was punctual, professional, and incredibly patient, taking the time to really listen to our ideas and vision. The entire process was explained clearly from the start and we were kept fully informed throughout, which gave us great confidence. The creativity of our plans truly stood. We were presented with four different design concepts, each carefully thought through to maximise flow and practicality within the home. We felt heard, supported, and inspired throughout the project and would highly recommend the team at Orange Designs to everyone. Thank you”
