James provided architectural services to secure planning permission to extend our house at ground and first floor level, to the side and rear. Being located within a conservation area, visible from the street and on a tight plot, the design needed to be carefully considered, balancing our aspirations and the requirements of the Council. This James secured. Following the grant of permission, James assisted with the commissioning of the contractor, providing detailed working drawings, scope of work and attended on site during the construction phase. We are extremely pleased with the result. The extension is sympathetic to the architecture of the original house but provides a contemporary and spacious addition, which is highly functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing. James provided excellent advice at all stages in a calming manner, which was most welcome at the more challenging stages of the consenting and implementation process.
