Architects in Stotfold, Bedfordshire

“Working with Mark was a fantastic experience. From the first time I contacted him he listened carefully to my needs; his attention to detail and professionalism were evident in every step of the process. The schematics for my new garage were signed off by the council no problem, and I wouldn't hesitate either to work with him again myself or to recommend him to others.”

“We moved into an old Victorian terrace in 2022 and immediately began to search for architects for our project. We planned for a loft conversion with a rear dormer, an internal reorganization of rooms on the first floor that would require the moving of walls and dropping of floor levels, and the refurb of the rest of the property – with us living there at the same time! All of this with a view of achieving a sympathetic restoration that would retain, and in some instances return the property to the original Victorian format. We searched for architects with not only a keen eye for style, but also an appreciation of what we wanted to achieve, and necessary expertise to manage the project through to completion. We’re extremely fortunate to have found Raydan Watkins! We began working with Richard and Dana in 2023, with their expertise guiding us through the process of planning permission consent in a conservation area, rounds of tendering for building contractors, and then the management of the project itself. Throughout, Richard and Dana were responsive, patient, and considerate of our opinions. They helped to keep the project on track, despite unforeseen challenges that seem to lurk beneath the fabric of most old properties. We have ended up with the house of our dreams. Subtle architectural considerations of light and sight-lines within the house have opened up the space and created additional room without impacting on the perceived size of rooms. Features have been retained, and the choice of materials ensuring that the changes blend seamlessly into the house, giving the impression that they have always been there – we’re delighted. I would highly recommend Richard and Dana for your project!”

“Danny at ds designs attention to detail was first class making sure that every element of the planning applications was covered in detail . Danny is very experienced and was able to point out errors in the planning departments responses where they themselves had made the wrong assumptions or interpretations of the current planning rules and regulations which differ from council to council .Danny spent a lot of time reviewing comments made by the planning office and was able to find a way forward to get a successful outcome .in my opinion Danny has always gone above and beyond on my projects and I’m very grateful for all his efforts to my projects all in all outstanding success would not hesitate to recommend to anyone for further work”
