Shape Terrain Studio

I’m an architect with 15 years of experience in a number of sectors, including private residential, education, urban design & conservation, which have received awards and been chosen for publication. I’m a creative and focused designer who can both lead design decisions and listen to those around me. I believe in understanding the context of a project thoroughly, and then embedding the project into that context – so it looks like it fits. House extensions often sit between the house and the garden, and I enjoy the opportunity this gives to create inspirational in-between spaces. Spaces that are open in summer and sheltered in winter, with good natural light and a connection to nature. Prior to launching Terrain I was associate at Walters & Cohen Architects in London, where I worked on a number of projects at all stages of design and delivery. I am now based at a studio space, D-Lab, in Berkhamsted, which is an exciting new group aimed at providing a community design, innovation and maker facility.
