Ben has completed two projects to date,and we are so pleased with the results that we are now discussing 'phase three'! Our 1930's Flat has been enhanced by a built-in display of shelves and cupboards in the living room and a built-in wardrobe to the smaller bedroom. Both have references to the 'Deco' period . Ben's approach to projects ensures that one achieves exactly the outcome wished for through full consultation and attention to detail.We are looking forward to more of the same! I first worked with Ben on an initial project for a small attic room in which I needed to create feature and Space. Ben came up with ideas which relied on his knowledge of materials and design. I was so happy with the creativity and design in which this small room was able to incorporate cupboard, hanging space and a day bed with under storage that I commissioned him to create an instillation that could be storage in the form of wardrobe space but, I also wanted to draw on his skills as an artist. The result is an ongoing project. It is ongoing because the more that Ben creates the more I can see that the room itself is being transformed into a unique space of art, light and design. Ben who trained as a cabinet maker and artist was brave to take on the project, it has been exciting to see his use of real metals on wood as at first I wanted a very urban look. Once in situation and looking totally unique, I felt they needed to be pulled together by a mirror which would be practical. However being practical wasn't enough, the mirror needed to reflect more than my face so the whole room and light from the Windows could be reflected. The result was just stunning. (Check out the photos on Bens site) It was the next step of the project. The next step is a fire hearth and top cupboards. It is exciting working with Ben as he is happy to encorporate some of my ideas as a frustrated designer whilst, his knowledge of metals and design, along with his expert knowledge of fine furnature making come together to create something beautiful to a room and home. I would never buy a piece of woden furniture again unless it measured up in its usability and esthetic beauty. Thank you Ben looking forward to seeing the next stage.

Ben managed an outstanding task of identifying what options there were whilst taking into consideration my requirements and preferences when they weren't as ideal or as easy as other options may have been (i.e. Louvred Doors!). Ben's patience, skill and expertise contribute to making what can be an arduous project, manageable and his attention to detail & precision workmanship provides an efficient and very professional experience and result. The cupboard/wardrobe is prefect and I couldn't have asked for anything more! Thanks Ben!

Ben helped me to turn a sketched dream into a practical piece of furniture. He helped me to fine tune my thoughts and suggest refinements. Not only did Ben produce a well crafted built in wardrobe he also gave me valuable advice on how to decorate the room. He was courteous, a good timekeeper and left the house clean and tidy. Would I use him again? I very much hope to.

I have worked with Ben on a number of projects -- from pieces of bespoke furniture (a wardrobe and side table), built in bookshelves and storage, furniture restoration and even some framing. From the outset, his work is always high quality: well scoped out and planned, neat & efficient in execution and if there are any questions / 'snagging' he has been happy to come back and sort things out! He has consulted with me every step of the way and engaged on the design process. I will work with Ben again, i am sure -- and would recommend him wholeheartedly!

Ben is an amazing craftsman. I had seen his work with fitted furniture before and loved his work. So I got him to build in a fitted bookcase where others feared to tread. The walls are wonky and the size changes as you go up the walls. He was professional, funny, tidy and did great work. He areived when he said he would. Was as quiet as he could be. And left the place cleaner than when he arrived. I would highly recommend Ben.

Ben did a marvellous restoration job on a set of antique table legs (see photos) left to us by an elderly relative. The original table top was a large antique Cairoware brass tray,which simply rested on the legs, but given that this isn't the most stable arrangement when there are kids around, we asked him to make a recessed top for the table to match the legs, for the tray to sit in. He managed to source a lovely piece of timber, and colour-match it with the newly restored legs, so now it looks as though our table was designed that way. We now have a lovely family heirloom that we can actually use! Highly recommended.
