Gill Bustamante - Artist

I paint large original oil paintings on canvas which are heavily inspired by Sussex, England. My subjects are modern contemporary landscapes, seascape paintings and animal paintings in an Expressionist, gestural style using thick oil paint. On my website you will see paintings about Sussex meadows, woodland paths, English landscapes and seascapes. Each one has its own unique story. Most of my artworks are about hope, frustration, optimism, a bit of mystery and a feeling that things will get better and that there is a place somewhere in the universe that is perfect. I like to think I am painting art that assists the viewer to get what they want. I hope this works for you. I like expressionist paintings and impressionist paintings and have developed a painting style that sits between these two. I have paintings for sale at my home studio and online art galleries.
