Designs include bespoke architectural pieces together with wall hangings, a lighting range using LED technology and interior products such as rugs. Pieter's visual arts practice spans the last 30 years producing conceptual art programmes, making sculptures and leading creative content in development projects. He exhibited in Sydney at Sculpture by The Sea (2006) using seaweed as a core material and has long been interested in working with natural and - sometimes - overlooked materials. Pieter lives in Scotland on the beautiful West Coast in the National Scenic Area "Kyles of Bute". Orains designs are held in private collections internationally including the USA, Australia, the UK & The Netherlands. Orains is Gaelic for orange, the color of joy and creativity.
