Woodcarvers Guild

Think twice on buying anything from the Woodcarvers Guild. I commissioned a large Tudor dining table which was delivered in December 2015, by March 2016 large cracks had developed throughout the table-top. I brought this to the notice of "Woodcarvers guild", and was told to wait until after the summer to see if the wood stabilised. At that time I had a specialised wood company calculate the moisture content of the wood used on the table at delivery which had shrunk one inch on the width of the table, they estimated between 16 to 19% where it should have been 7%, hence the shrinkage. I have had numerous excuses from that time including but not confined to flooded workshop, deaths in family members and awaiting "Power of Attorney". I have been attempting to contact the Woodcarvers Guild by telephone for the last week ending 29th April 2019 but the number has been discontinued. Buyer beware.

Designers Luxury Linens hired The Wood Carvers Guild to hand carve a custom bed for a customer of ours. This was include many new carvings...the pictures of the progress were so amazing, that our customer decided to have WCG do all the furniture plus new doors and bathroom vanities. Everyone that has seen this furniture says it is amazing, the most beautiful they have seen. We did the bed, nightstands, a blanket chest, custom benches, 2 customer upholstered chairs and we changed a wardrobe armoire into a fabulous coffee and snack armoire, a chaise, and a large table. We then added two custom designed extra large coffee tables for the living room. WCG was reliable, and did everything they said they would in a timely fashion. We had ample opportunity to change sketches during the design stage. The shipment was packaged well and arrived without damage. I will be definitely using them again.

As a designer, I cannot praise Woodcarvers Guild enough. I have been working on a very large project in a house in Spain, and the style was detailed and classic, and all very elaborate carving. Their work was breath-taking - a perfect realization of my ideas, which I thought was going to be impossible. They are a joy to deal with, the work is amazing, the delivery times unbelievably speedy, and all for such reasonable prices. I want to keep them as 'my secret', but I want everyone to know about them too! I cannot recommend them highlyenough.
