Best Cellars (NW) Ltd

Very unfortunately i cannot recommend Best Cellars, Roy's team initially completed each days work with great progress and we had felt things were coming along nicely, the end of the job came and the majority of the work was finished to a standard we were happy with though we had noticed the stairs which were finished by a late worker on the project were not to the same standard. My mistake was paying too early as after that i found communication was next to impossible and it was to the point of much stress with building regs and related certificates still to be received, as well as when the floor fitter quoted it was noted the stairs didn't have bull nose ends to accommodate the carpet overlap to make a secure fixture to. Roy did come back which was appreciated to fix the stairs, but it was not until i had made repeated and numerous methods of contact at much frustration a month or two later. It then took me the best part of 12 months to request what i had paid for in terms of certificates and paperwork to fully complete. A real shame because i personally had no problems with Roy or his team in person, they were nearer the higher price range so would expect much better experience.

We had a complete tanking and pump installation in November 2016. We were given a 10 year warranty which isn't worth the paper its written on, as Roy refuses to answer our calls and left us with a system that was inadequate and dangerous. Points to state: 1. Back up pump was inadequate to do the job for the size of the cellar. 2. Electrics, two pumps were wired into a one gang system. 3. No non return valve fitted to the waste pipe, so the water kept refilling the tank, making the pump overwork and using so much electricity. 4. Huge cellar with only one cleaning trap fitted so inadequate. 5. No gravel added to the drainage channel as is the norm. These issues have meant we have had to find a further £1600 to rectify the problems. The new company confirmed that the pump installation was sub standard and dangerous.
