I have purchased two curved sliding door showers an twice the plastic bracket that supports the sliding door has broken while someone is in the shower leaving the very heavy door hanging on one bracket only. I don't considder it is safe to release the bottom brackets and swing the door to allow for cleaning. The Lifetime Guarantee against material or manufacturing defects doesen't apply aparently if you live more than 4 years. I chose KUDOS above other makes as they appeared to be better quality than other makes and they were recomended by my bathroom fitter. He has looked at the broken bracket and agrees it is a weak link in an otherwise quality product. As KUDOS don't have an updated version of the bracket I am looking on AMAZON to see if I can buy a stronger version otherwise I think I will have to replace these otherwise perfectly good showers and I would advise anyone with this type of shower door to do the same. We have not used the release mechanism to permit easier cleaning between the doors since the first bracket broke. I can assure you it is a frightening experience when it fails while you are taking a shower.
