Lara Francis Design

Lara did an excellent job for us, from start to finish. She helped on every aspect of our bathroom renovation from conception through to implementation. She was unfailingly polite, showed great attention to detail, worked intensively and quickly particularly during the design period, and introduced us to a really good builder. She was particularly able to improve the aesthetics of the design well beyond what we could have achieved for ourselves, gently but firmly heading us away from poor choices and ensuring that the little touches, such as chasing a bath into a wall slightly so that the edge lined up with tile cuts, were taken care of. We are very pleased with the end result.

Completely redesigned the sole bathroom in a small Victorian house. Despite the small size Lara managed to get my perfect layout with a separate freestanding bath and a generous shower. She managed to interpret my thoughts to get a modern feel but consistent with the type of house and a touch of luxury. Lots of patience to make sure we got the right materials. Additionally there were some really helpful ideas like giving vital storage that enabled a wall-hung loo, and the three lighting circuits giving great optionality. From being a tired practical room, the bathroom has become a bit of a haven.

As it was our first time remodelling out bathroom, we were looking for someone to guide us through the process and help us plan out the best use of the limited space and budget. Lara did a great job, and clearly has a wealth of experience with bathrooms that really helped us with our project. Highly recommended.

Lara reviewed our bathroom plans and made some great suggestions allow us to settle on a design. She tailored her services to match our very limited budget. It's great to work with someone who enjoys what they do and is willing and able to help clients with all budgets.
