“We hired Ed after a personal recommendation to redesign our Edwardian cottage in the New Forest - not a straightforward job as the property is within a National Park, Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Ed designed the extensions to fit in with the existing building, remodelled the floor plans, ran the planning application and then put the drawings together for Building regulations and the builder. We couldn't be happier with the results - Ed really maximised the space by suggesting a side/rear extension, loft conversion and remodelling the inside space. We now have a house that flows with the space we needed - an extra bedroom, extra WC and a large open plan kitchen/diner leading out to the garden. Ed made so many great suggestions, including vaulting the ceiling in the kitchen which really improves the space and light. The planning application was on time and without problem. Highly recommended.”

“Tom and his team have been outstanding and so professional from day one. They take the time and care to explain all processes step by step including fee proposals and looking at time lines. They have listened to us patiently and respectfully even when I’ve come put with some crazy ideas but found a solution that was not only pleasing but better than I could have imagined. Will has been brilliant at responding efficiently and immediately no matter how silly the questions they may be, making the team very approachable. He has worked and listened to us and asked all the right questions to find a design that suits our needs but is practical. Both Tom and Will at each point have also kept us advised regarding budget at each step and clear about how the changes we want to make may impact that but more importantly rather than dismissing these ideas, looked for solutions and compromises where necessary which we would be happy with while trying to stay on target budget. We can not recommend them highly enough and have also used the team on much larger projects.”

“Millar Howard were our architects on our project to build what we have called 'The Gillyflower'; a rammed earth sound proofed and very beautiful, sustainable wedding and events venue. From the very early stages of this project (before we even knew what the business was going to be).. MHW worked with us on feasibility, planning, creative ideas, design and administrated the contract with our excellent builders, JR Building LTD. “Studio Vassen supported us with our loft conversion project and managed it start to finish. We just got planning permission and we are very pleased. Sean is very professional and his attention to detail sets him apart. He listened to us carefully and was able to guide us to a great solution. He managed the entire process from drawings to final approvals, making our loft conversion design and approvals very easy. I would hire Studio Vassen again.”

“The job that my wife and I engaged Hawkes Edwards to do was something of a challenge, it was an extension/conversion of a grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse,which also happened to be in a conservation area in Stratford-on-Avon to be precise. Trevor and his team were excellent through all stages of our project, the consent and planning approval were seamless which relieved us of any potential stress. It was a pleasure to work with Trevor and his team and we can honestly say what they did totally transformed the house, merging the former Georgian glory with a 21st century home and thus creating one of Stratford's finest houses. Both my wife and I were delighted with the outcome as i'm sure Trevor was. Many Thanks David and Bridget Hunt.”
