The Concrete Network

NOT RECOMMENDED Placed an order for 4m of concrete on Thursday 2nd May, to be delivered at 8am on Saturday 5th May. This was checked, and all confirmed to go ahead. Dinnertime that same day, I received a phone call from the Concrete plant to say that the delivery would be OK, but the time has now moved to between 11 – 12pm. This was not acceptable, as this was not what had already been agreed, and we had contractors scheduled to turn up on the basis of the verbal confirmation on the original call that the concrete would arrive by 8am. I also requested an additional half a metre, for which they wished to charge me £30 handling charge. Following the delay to the arrival, I spoke with my contractors, who agreed to arrive for that time. 11.30 Saturday morning, I rang to confirm the delivery of the concrete, and to see when it would arrive, as the contractors were sat waiting, ready to start. I was informed that there had been an issue at MK, so the concrete would be coming from Welwyn, but that it had not yet arrived at Welwyn, but would definitely be with me by 12.30pm. At 14.10, the concrete finally turned up, just as my contractors were about to leave, having been on site since 8am, ready for the concrete. Shoddy customer service, and will definitely not be using again.

Really helpful company, managed to get me a next day delivery when I had been let down. The price was great and the service was excellent.

Ignore the other reviews, this company delivers when it matters. I need 12 cubic meters for a next day delivery, The Concrete Network found me a supplier and I got a better prices than I had been quoted else where.

Terrible company. Make money by charging administration fees not detailed when ordered. Rip off do not use . Over a month to receive part of my money. This company need to be exposed

I'm sure The Concrete Network have many good sub-contractors however, the ones that turned up for me SINGH CONCRETE WEST LONDON, left me feeling bitter. I ordered 3CM for two slabs. One of which was 50mm in depth, 4.8m x 4.8m which works out at 1.152 Metres Cubed. The driver had pumped 2 CM into the form and said it would take another half a metre to finish it off. In the middle of pouring, he requested I give card payment to the Concrete Network and authorise another 2CM (5CM in total). He wouldn't pump until I had made the call. I was ankle deep in concrete and had no choice but to make payment as my form was only half-full. My second form was 6.5m * 3m at a depth of 100mm = 1.95 Metres Cubed. That form wasn't filled completely as I had used all 5CM of my concrete! I was duped for sure but at the mercy of a company like this, I could do nothing. I called The Concrete Network to speak about this and they're uninterested in helping. This is a warning for you!
