“We bought a new house and wanted a 2 storey extension on the side of the house and extending out the kitchen and lounge at the back of the house. A friend recommended Julian and in turn Julian recommended pretty much every type of contractor and professional we would need to complete our project. This was really helpful as sourcing a reputable architect, structural engineer, quantity surveyor and a team of specialists was a daunting task and not something we expected of Julian. One of the most reassuring parts of the planning phase is how Julian set our budget expectations. This became very apparent very quickly because the other people we initially approached at the same time as Julian pretty much told us what we wanted to hear, whereas Julian took a much more realistic approach. It was an easy choice to go ahead with Julian and we did not regret that decision. He managed all aspects of the project, start to finish and the results are exceptional. We have no hesitation in recommending Julian and JNR Construction.”

“Fantastic company, sourced all the best products for me, at the best prices. Very clean workers, reliable and trustworthy. Would highly reccomend this company to anybody. They sent regular itemised bills, so I could keep a track of the spend, they kept to the budget and quote, apart from my added extra's. Our knock through wasn't straight forward, as were a steel framed house, but they did it with absolutely no problems. They certanely know what there doing, I had a dead line, as we were going away, then throwing a House party when we came home, and they met the deadline for me. “James and Pat and the team built our two storey extension in 2015. They did a great job, on budget (always extra costs for unexpected work or changes to our ideas)! We were really pleased to have JP McDonagh do the work having approached half a dozen builders locally for quotes. The team were reliable and considerate (our 2nd child was born halfway through the build in true Grand Design's style!). They were on site every day they said they would be. It was good to have a single point of contact in James and the breakdown of quote and invoices meant we knew exactly where we were with the costs. There were minimal issues and the minor problems with sub contractors were all resolved through James or Pat which meant a hassle free build for us. They are clearly experienced and knowledgeable and were able to suggest different ways of doing things which made the outcome even better. Would use again and have recommended to others.”

“Wanted to leave a review for Shak and his team based on the work he did for us. I needed various aspects of my house building work completed, both small and large in scope. I've detailed below the work we undertook and what I thought. His skill set from what I could see ranges from many trades (a testament to his builders IQ) including plumbing, bricklaying, plastering among among others. He was punctual & polite. Bathrooms Fully renovated both bathrooms, Shak did the full teardown, followed by extensive plumbing on the new sink, bathtub and the towel rail. He also did all the tiling on both walls and floors. His work was very professional and clean, I must confess the level of accuracy and professionalism he demonstrated was what anyone could ask for. Not a quality you can easily find in this trade! Doors + Frames Installed full oak doors and the respective door frames. He did over 3 new door frames and 8 doors in total with handles, hinges and full measurements done to the millimeter. Excellent work. Roof Apex Fixed Our last builders (Kingfisher) left us in a bind with poor and shoddy workmanship in various areas of the house. So we had Shak and his team rectify this for us. The roof was of particular note. He completed the cutting correctly and managed to get our roof looking very well done, as opposed to the mess the last guys left us in.”

“Lancashire H.L.Services carried out a full refurb on a bungalow for me in to include rewire, heating system, plumbing, replaster, kitchen, bathroom and all new internal joinery and decorations The scheme was completed witout any delays and the standard of workmanship is excellent, especially the attention to detail All the workforce were professional,polite and extremely tidy”

“I was recommended Pavilion Property Holdings by my QS (Gary Boyle) when the initial contractor on my first new build - The Coach House / Sale was suddenly too busy to commit at the last minute. As the property had already been sold off plan, both cost and time were critical plus being a design-led developer, an attention to detail was also important to me. Despite some bad weather, and a few problems sourcing specific products and material price increase (both due to Brexit & Covid), Pavilion PH brought the build in to the agreed budget and also on schedule. On site I found all the trades I encountered knowledgeable, and helpful, none more so than the excellent site manager, Nigel. I also very much enjoyed working with Pavilion's Project Manager (and MD) Masoud who really understood what I was trying to achieve and very much saw the project as a collaboration rather than just another job. While some (very minor) mistake were made along the way - mainly due to the incredible speed the team seem to work - these were immediately rectified without complaint. In all, Pavillion balanced professionalism with friendliness and directly contributed to the huge success of the project - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - in fact I am hoping to work with them again once planning is granted on my current scheme in Stockport, and we are also looking at a potential JV project back in Sale.”

“Barry did various jobs for us to an excellent standard. He plastered our utility room walls and ceiling, did a great job out back laying a concrete area, sorted out new drain fittings, and completely changed our little cloakroom by plastering, creating a built-in cupboard with shelves above, adding skirting, and boxing in pipework. He is also a skilled brickie, took out a window and bricked up the hole perfectly. He's a nice fellow, polite, arrives and gets on with it, cleans up mess etc. Very versatile, prices very reasonable, and we would definitely have him back with no hesitation to do any future work.”
