About Us

Alcove Carpentry is a traditional joinery service with many years experience. We take pride in providing a range of handcrafted, quality joinery services and bespoke products that will help bring ideas for your home into reality at realistic and affordable prices. Alcove Carpentry can help clients in all aspects of home - inside and outside in new build, renovation and restoration. In addition, we offer painting and decorating services to create beautiful interiors and taking part in their transformation. All of our works are carried out by craftsmen with many years experience in the trade. We make bespoke fitted furniture and doors. Alcove units, alcove shelves, alcove cupboards and wardrobes, radiator covers and bespoke media units.

Kinga was so helpful on making sure we had all the options and spent a lot of time answering my questions! Fitting was arranged in less than a week and Adam was very professional and did a great job. Would highly recommend.

Excellent, quality craftsmanship with real attention to detail. Highly competitive prices. The work was carried out efficiently and professionally within a week of the site visit. Excellent administration and email/phone service too. I had two projects completed and would definitely use again. Highly recommended.

Alcove cabinet unit built over very tricky electrical wires and consumer unit. Plus 3 floating shelves. The alcove unit is stunning and the floating shelves fitted to complete a very beautiful look. It was fitted in half a day! They were also very tidy, hoovering everything up as though they had not been here! We would use them again. There was a choice between being fitted at the end of the week or next month, so from the commission to the build it was 1 week! Incredible.

Kinga and Adam provide a highly efficient and excellent value service. The alcove units were of a high quality and our request to use our own paint was accommodated. We would definitely recommend!

We hired Alcove carpentary to fit two alcove units in our front room. From start to finish I found Kinga and Adam extremely professional and very efficient. They both came round for a quotation where they gave really good advice and helped us decide on the design. The communication and actual building of the units was fantastic I could not rate them highly enough. The finished units are better than expected and I will def be using Alcove carpentary again when I want fitted wardrobes. Thank you both we are extremely pleased with our new units.

Very pleased with this carpentry firm. Quick and courteous visit, the work was done exactly as advertised and without mess and in just half a day. The bookshelf I wanted is now in my house and I am happy.

We are so happy with our alcove cabinets - the gentleman who fitted them arrived early in the morning and worked non stop until they were done. Would highly recommend and we will definitely consider them for any future projects

Talked through designs, options and quotes - Kinga was very responsive to my questions. Lead time was approximately 8 weeks, agreed the build date in advance. Extremely pleased with the quality of the cabinets - they really transform our lounge. We are already in discussions with Kinga and her team to create some dining room cabinets for us as well, so would highly recommend.

I am so happy with the alcove units they put in. The work was done efficiently and attention to details. I would recommend them to my friends in the future. In fact we will be using them again for changing our front door.

This company was employed to build an alcove tv and book unit which included cupboards and book shelves and lighting - it was constructed in ply and stained to match surrounding wood work. So impressed we asked them to build a second alcove unit that was curved and had glass shelves and custom made glass doors plus internal lighting. If anyone is in doubt about the craftsmanship and attention to detail please let me know as I strongly recommend Alcove Carpentry - I cannot praise them enough.
