Balau Kitchens is a well respected family run kitchen studio in Hackney specialising in bespoke kitchen, bedroom and study furniture. We have been designing and installing bespoke kitchens and other cabinetry for 18 years and we supply to all London areas. There is no brochure – each project is unique, designed and managed around you, the client, to suit your style and preferences, as well as meeting all architectural demands. Each kitchen we create is as unique and individual as you are. The vision is yours, but made real by us with passion and expertise – streamlined and polished to make your dream come true. This is the second time we have used Balau kitchens and would definitely use them again. From the start of the design, to the finished installation their work is faultless. They were very deligent in preparing the design and taking the time to provide the kitchen that we wanted, but also recommending features that would work well with our young family. Their close relationship with the appliance supplier and subcontractors, also meant that even with the current supply chain issues, all of this was managed so our complete kitchen was delivered at a convient time and installed very quickly. I would definitely recommend them to everyone who wants a quality kitchen.

We are very happy with our lovely kitchen. Aga was such a pleasure to work with throughout the process, full of helpful guidance and very patient while we worked through the process of choosing the layout, design and appliances. Her attention to detail was second to none as was that of Michael and Carl who installed everything. Post fitting communication has been excellent too (answering small questions about cleaning products, for example, and correcting a small problem with a lighting strip) I would use this company again if I ever need another kitchen!

She makes great suggestions and I am grateful for her advice. Balau fitters are expert and have many years of experience. They are problem-solvers who will make your kitchen look fantastic. 5 stars for an amazing company. Sound advice on design and functionality, receptive to my wishes but patiently steering me away from a couple of ill conceived ideas about kitchen layout. Excellent workmanship with great attention to detail and intelligent problem solving skills in view of confounding building associated structural problems along the way. Always responsive and absolutely lovely to work with. The finished kitchen is of high quality, beautiful and functional, and was completed to budget.

Exceptional customer service from start to finish. From the very beginning, Aga was amazing - she has brilliant attention to detail and is an excellent communicator. Michael and Carl were also brilliant. Their workmanship truly exceptional and were just lovely people to have in your home; professional, polite, courteous, punctual, tidy - all the things you would want. If I ever need my kitchen done again, I would wholeheartedly choose Balau and would recommend to everyone.

Michael, Aga and Carl are an outstanding team who can plan and execute your perfect kitchen. When I had my kitchen done they produced the design, which was brilliantly fulfilled. They were endlessly patient and helpful with every aspect of the work, and the result is a lovely modern kitchen. I cannot thank them enough!

I could not be happier with our kitchen from Balau. Aga, Carl and Michael are delightful to work with. Aga listened to what I wanted, came up with suggestions but I never felt pressurised into anything I was not sure about. She was always available to talk things through by email, text or dropping into the showroom. They are all extremely professional. The quality of workmanship is excellent. It is clear they all want to do the best job possible. Carl and Michael were very respectful whilst in the house and there was never mess to clean up afterwards. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Kitchen installed in March. Aga and her team were very professional and we had excellent service all round. Aga supported us through the whole process providing invaluable advice on design, layout, fittings etc. She was always available at the end of a phone when I had any queries. She came up with ideas and suggestions that we had not thought about. The fitters were very nice to have around your home. They were very reliable and cleaned up after themselves every night before they left. The project went according to plan and we would highly recommend them.

The team at Balau Kitchens were a pleasure to work with. They took our first design thoughts for some additional kitchen storage, and worked through a number of options until we were happy. The way in which the furniture was built in situ, with maximum attention to detail was impressive and we are thrilled with the end result. It is beautiful to look at, as well as the practical benefit of giving us more use of the fairly limited space we have. We could not be happier.
