Avar furniture have completed several projects for me in the past as the work carried out is always been to an excellent standard and completed in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend Michael without a doubt as he is great at what he does and takes great care when carrying out any work. He is always polite and courteous and I felt very comfortable having him in my home. My daughter is absolutely delighted with her new bespoke office. As with any brilliant carpenter it is hard to pin him down for my next project as he is always booked up months in advance.

Throughout a very good experience: they were friendly, responsive and efficient; the process of designing the unit, with detailed drawings we could change, was excellent in helping us arrive at the design we really liked; and the craftsmanship was perfect. I would certainly use them again.

We have recently had some major renovation work completed at our property and I was looking for some under stairs storage after ripping out the old area under the stairs, leaving us looking at a large gaping hole. We have a very busy house-hold (with two young boys) and I needed some storage, for when the boys came home from school, they could come in and immediately put away all their stuff. I also wanted somewhere to hang up visitor’s coats, rather than hanging them over the bannister. I researched using a well-known on search engine for under stairs storage and was lucky enough to come across “Avar”. Their product was exactly what I was looking for but I searched other companies but would always came back to Avar. Our only concern was that we lived in Devon and Avar was based in London, so we weren’t sure if Avar would be prepared to come down as far as Devon. So we sent Avar an email, asking the question “if this was something they would consider”, and to our amazement, they said “yes” and we are so glad that they did. We were a bit apprehensive about placing the order due to the various measurements and angles but Michael was so obliging that whenever we had a query or question, they were there at the end of the phone. Michael’s work was impeccable, friendly, very tidy and very approachable. We are so pleased we chose Avar, and would highly recommend the company, the product and the staff.

It was a pleasure to work with Avar Furniture Ltd. They did a exceptional job in both the design and build of my bedroom wardrobe, maximising space and meeting my storage needs exactly. Very professional fitters and all completed within the promised time scale. We are now the proud owners of a truly bespoke wardrobe. I highly and without reservation recommend Avar Furniture. We had under stairs storage done and the job was completed to the highest standard. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What made a big difference is the drawings before the installation, as the design changed 4 times before we could meet our functional requirements. Having seen the drawings we were confident that what we got was what we wanted.

This review is actually long overdue as we had under stairs pull-out drawers, built back in September 2012! I was reminded when a neighbour asked about them and realised they'd been in for nearly 6 years and still work brilliantly - they're extremely sturdy yet pull out very smoothly. I remember it being a very professional operation, with detailed CAD drawings and visualisations that we were given the opportunity to review and amend, so we knew exactly what we were getting. I even asked for a custom slot to fit in my Dyson hoover, which it does perfectly. The drawers have been a lifesaver as they hide away all the mess and clutter that would otherwise spill out into the hallway, or elsewhere in the house - they allow us to pretend to be tidy and organised, which is actually very far from the truth! We also had an alcove cupboard built at the same time which is a great use of the space in the living room which would otherwise be a jumble of wires / mismatched DVD and computer game cases. I'd be happy to recommend Avar to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, as an investment in their home.
