I say what item I want (for example a bookcase) - we discuss the requirements in terms of practical usage (size and number of books, and the budget), then Tim comes up with ideas and I say which design (or combinations of designs) I prefer. There is usually design tweaking to make sure I am happy. Tim's work is always of the highest quality, and he's a good chap to deal with. His originality and artistic flair means that a visitor would not guess that our several pieces of his work were crafted by the same person. Visitors often compliment furniture made by Tim, both for its beauty and how well it does its job.
