“When does something as practical as a bit of storage evolve not just into a piece of furniture but into our very own unique work of art. This was the process we went through with Jake. The amount of time and care he took in ensuring everything was spot on was admirable. It took a while to appreciate that it wasn’t just about building something practical but that it was to be “designed” and this is where Jake really excelled. If I’m honest, we were slightly overwhelmed by the options but in the end we left a number of decisions up to him to make in the knowledge that we knew it would look fantastic. From a brushed steel finger gap around the cupboard doors to staining the oak worktops with the same oil as our oak floor, the end result is striking whilst thankfully being as practical as we need it!”
