Cherry tree carpentry

I had two made to measure built in bookcases made and fitted by Richard. I am absolutely delighted with them, the workmanship is excellent and they are so well finished, attention to detail is amazing. Richard was a pleasure to work with and is a real craftsman. Although there was a delay in getting my bookcases which was due to the Covid situation, Richard kept me updated on a regular basis. It was definitely worth the waiting and I could not recommend Cherry Tree Carpentry enough. Beautiful craftsmanship and lovely company to deal with. January 2022

Richard has completed two projects for us to a very high standard. One was a bookcase and desk in my workroom and the other cupboards and shelves in the sitting room. Richard designed, made and fitted a corner unit for our lounge to hide an electric distribution board. From the first appointment he always turned up exactly when he said he would and we had very good communication throughout the work. We are thoroughly pleased with the finished unit. It is exactly what we had wanted. Richard offered his advice on both the design and fitting, we went with his suggestions and are so pleased with everything. I found Cherry Tree Carpentry via a recommendation and from the first consultation I felt I was in safe hands. Richard gave me very clear and practical advice, improving on my own ideas for built in units in two alcoves in my living room while taking into account my preferences and the surroundings. His work is first class and the level of service outstanding. He kept in touch while he was building my units and was flexible around my own commitments when it came to installing them. The units are even better than I had expected and I have already commissioned two further projects. The only drawback is the one any sensible person would expect: Richard is in great demand and you will almost certainly have to wait but this level of craftsmanship and service is definitely worth waiting for.

Richard has done an outstanding job, highly professional, cleaning up as he works but most importantly, takes great pride in his work as he should. Highly recommend, you may have to wait for him to start your project but hey, that’s true of all good tradespeople and it’s well worth the wait! Already started planning next years projects!

We engaged Richard to produce a set of fitted cupboards for our study. We were delighted with the result. He was impressively responsive and flexible, visiting us to measure up and quote and giving suggestions re specification.
