James Smith Furniture Design are a small company producing high end furniture, joinery and custom made woodwork for a wide range of clients and projects. Award winning design and beautiful timbers handcrafted into unique pieces of furniture.

Awards

In 2010 James was awarded Guild Mark No 419 by the Worshipful company of furniture makers for his Fumed Oak Chest of Drawers. This award recognises the finest of British designer makers.

James is a true professional, who takes great pride in his work. He made a bespoke kitchen island for us, and we made it very complicated by insisting on curves everywhere. James surpassed our expectations, and the result is a truly magnificent centrepiece to our house. Thank you!

James has provided extremely high quality work for our yacht Destiny, he can work to dead lines and on budget. He has the true ability of a craftsman, and his attention to detail is superb, even in a yacht where there is very little that is flat, square, straight or level he fitted out our cabin perfectly. The drinks cabinet that he finished is admired by all our guests.
