“My wife and I asked Tom Maxwell to replace a built-in wardrobe and include a bookcase to the side of it as an integral feature. From our first meeting with him we were most impressed by his interest, enthusiasm, knowledge and advice. With his help we arrived at an initial design and then he suggested we consider that and review it at leisure. He provided us with detailed drawings with the full specifications and a price. After consideration we changed some particulars and discussed them with him and he provided revised drawings. We visited him at his workshop so that we could examine and handle the woods that we were thinking of having used for our project and Tom gave us a very full briefing on their nature and qualities. We discussed finishes and he told us what he thought would best suit our needs as we had outlined them to him. He was also very helpful in advising us on handles, fitments etc and it was a delight to work with him and share in his enthusiasm for what he did. After we had confirmed the final design he gave us a definitive price and a timescale. His execution of the project was first class. The old wardrobe was removed and the new one and its accompanying bookcase were installed with a minimum of fuss and disruption and we are absolutely delighted with the result and feel proud to own such a lovely and unique piece of furniture. We look forward with pleasurable anticipation to working again with Tom and have already made a proposal to him to tackle a very difficult and complicated piece of cabinet making. We would recommend Tom and his colleague without reservation.”

“I have an 18th century home which I love and I'm always thinking about modern furniture for it, my kitchen/diner has a breakfast bar and I commissioned Andy (King and Webbon) to make me two wooden stools. I couldn't be more pleased with them, they are light but strong, superb detailing, they suit my kitchen perfectly. They're made from American ash with red rock maple inserts, everyone who sees them loves them! I wanted to add a picture to this review but no need as they are on the company's website. I'll definitely use King and Webbon again.”
