Take Root Designs

Kris does a fabulous job. He has built some cupboards foe us and the are excellent quality. He turns up on time, finishes when he says he will and tidies up when finished. If you need joinery work done, Kris and take root are excellent.

The team at Take Root took on something I had designed myself, a home office shelving and desk integrated unit. Their attention to detail in the build was amazing, Chris added details I hadn't thought of and asked questions before and during the process. I asked for a small modification afterwards and they were happy to return and make the changes. Excellent skill and service, I'd highly recommend them.

I was using my hall cupboard as a home office but it was a manky little space that was horrible to be in. I asked Chris from Take Root to come and take a look at what could be be done. He turned up exactly when he said he would and was very helpful, I got my quote when promised and once I accepted he let me know when he could start. Over the course of three days he tirelessly to transform my shamefully shabby cupboard into a beautiful, functional working space, with oak veneered shelves all the way up that fitted perfectly to the curved walls, and a bespoke cabinet to hide the power board away neatly. He did an excellent job and was a pleasure to have on site. We put the flat on the market a few months after and the enthusiastic response to the clever use of space was universal.

Excellent work - Chris listened to what I wanted, and came up with designs for a storage cupboard to be fitted in a shallow bay window, and a bathroom under-sink unit and wall shelving. His first suggestions required very little tweaking so it was clear he had paid attention to what I had said. There was excellent communication throughout and although I had originally specified the work to start in spring, Chris was able to bring it forward at my request. Chris and Patrick were a pleasure to have in the flat, diligent in cleaning up after themselves, and happy to be supervised by a nosy cat. I am delighted with the work they have done and intend to use their services again. I would happily recommend Take Root.
