“We hired Alex Burgess Carpentry to complete a number of carpentry jobs around our house, including door hanging, boxing stairs and fitting skirting. He was always completely focussed on achieving the best outcome and did an excellent job for us. We would definitely use him again.”
Lewes Home Maintenance

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars16 April 2017
“Tom recently laid an engineered wood floor in my living room, together with new skirting boards. His work is of the highest quality and the end result is impressive. He works carefully and thoroughly and charges a fair price for his services. The project cost shown below refers to labour costs and incidental materials, but does not include the cost of the wood, which I purchased myself. Tom has also done other work for me, including rebuilding a complicated garden shed, and re-tiling a fireplace and fire surround, with which I am equally pleased. I would recommend him unreservedly.”

Period Property Consultancy Ltd.
Carpenters and Joiners in Sidley, East Sussex
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars9 December 2021
“We (Joyner & Mason Ltd) have used David and his team on numerous projects and have to say their skill and service sets them apart from the what we would consider a very niche service industry. From the outset our experience was always a positive one, David fully explained the process, realistic expectations on what could be achieved and an agreed cost. Our expectations were exceeded each time and each time they came in on budget and time. A first class job on a period stair refurbishment, book matched radiused oak borders for wooded flooring and swept handrails for stair have all been recent completed.”
Westgate Joinery
Carpenters and Joiners in Sidley, East Sussex
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars13 June 2016
“Excellent planning, preparation and execution of 3 separate jobs. They use top quality materials, such as Accoya, and produce top quality windows and doors. After-sales service was first class. Cost was competitive but not the lowest. Chosen for the largest job (17 windows & new front door) due to excellence of the first work done (3 large windows, roof light and bi-fold doors).”
Parsons Joinery Ltd
Carpenters and Joiners in Sidley, East Sussex
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars24 May 2017
“I was looking for a local joinery company to help me with the renovation of my home. I received a number of quotes but I was impressed by the honesty and technical knowledge of the workshop manager Trev. I decided to proceed with an extra large set of bi-folding doors and kitchen units. The whole experience included the minimum of fuss and everything was extremely professional. I will hopefully be proceeding later on in the year with more work.”
