From orangeries to the conservation of traditional housing fixtures to bespoke staircases, our team work tirelessly to make the project journey seamless and we consistently produce stunning finished results. Though we are based in Down we undertake much of our work in England and most especially London - where we are on hand with our team constantly. Now to our history - as a quantity surveyor David Clarke always had a passion for historical architecture, with a particular love for the joinery used in period properties. So when, forty years ago, the opportunity arose to purchase a small joinery company in Banbridge, Co Down, David and his wife Alison took the gamble of their lives, bought the company, and soon after DASK Timber opened its doors. Our family has been in the business for 40 years: your home deserves quality products that will last even longer. Our high-quality materials, skilled craftsmen and excellent service mean that you get the best timber products available throughout Britain and Ireland. We’ve also been able to expand: we now employ 22 skilled craftsmen and have built a 27,000 sq ft purpose-made premises, with state-of-the-art CNC production equipment. Everyone who works with us shares the unrelenting attention to detail and quality, both in the finished products and in client care, which embody the passion and commitment of the DASK approach. Over the years we have updated glazing and weather-proofing materials, but otherwise we are proud to say our traditional sliding sash is the same timber window we manufactured in 1973. As then, our priority is still to provide a quality product that is tailor-made to suit each of our client’s needs, yet remaining sympathetic to the integrity of the building. With an eye on the future, we offer the best in environmentally-aware design and materials for your home; we also use energy-efficient machinery in our factory in Banbridge, which is heated using recycled wood shavings.
