Rinaldi Furniture

We commissioned Rinaldi Furniture to design, make and fit a small office desk/computer workstation with cupboard storage unit, to utilise the space beneath the staircase in our home. We also requested a matching false wall cupboard, designed to cover an unsightly electric CPSU. I contacted Tim Rinaldi by telephone after looking at his website and knowing he was based locally. My one concern at this point was that our proposed project might be considered too small for him to get involved with.... I needn't have worried. Within a few moments Tim put me at ease and assured me that he attached just as much importance to smaller jobs as to major commissions. He suggested I take some photographs of the space, along with some rough measurements and invited my wife and I to visit him at his workshop. We were fairly flexible with our brief and open to any suggestions and advise Tim might offer so his input was invaluable to us. He was soon aware that my wife would be the main user of the furniture and wanted to design something with her needs and requests in mind. After a visit to our home to take accurate measurements and demonstrate how different wood samples would look, we made our choice of finish and CAD drawings were sent for our approval. The quality of our furniture is superb and fitting was carried out to the same high standard and attention to detail. Cost was as quoted with no hidden extras, additions for unforeseen problems or corners being cut to cover an overrun. I have no hesitation in recommending Rinaldi Furniture (Tim Rinaldi) to anyone who appreciates quality and professionalism, along with a friendly character and someone who takes pride in their work.

I sought Tim Rinaldi’s expertise to bring into reality some special pieces of bespoke furniture to meet my clients’ individual requirements. Speaking as a designer, working with Tim was an absolute pleasure, his attention to detail and quality was exceptional and, as a result, the finished products were beautifully executed, faultless and stunning. My clients were utterly impressed with his work and fully appreciated his craftsmanship. The added bonus was the fact that Tim was so proactive, nothing was too difficult and delivered on time and to budget, a TRUE ARTISAN! We looked for an off the floor cabinet to house our hi-fi gear for more than 2 years. We explored many designers and very well known upmarket brands but where unable to find anything suitable. Tim was recommended to us by a business contact and we engaged him in a commission. We had very clear ideas and Tim was able to put this into practice. He was very easy to work with and delivered a top quality product. We will engage him again for more commissions we are planning.

Rinaldi furniture undertook a number of commissions as part of a house renovation project, including new bespoke kitchen, wardrobes and joinery. Tim was involved throughout the project from the design stage which included a free exchange of ideas, through to successful completion where all 'snags' were dealt with in timely fashion. Both budget and timescales were communicated early in the process and adhered to during the build. Overall an enjoyable experience with a first class result.

Tim did a fantastic job from start to finish. He consulted with us as to our requirements extremely well, developed a draft 3D version for us to review and discuss and then allowed us to see the work in progress at his workshop. The installation was very smooth with minimum disruption and left the room very clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to work with such a professional and we are delighted with the final piece. We had seen some of Tim's bespoke work at a show last year. We asked Tim to come and quote for some work we wanted done in our house. He arranged a time to come and view the work we needed doing, he provided a timely quote with accurate costings based on the work and was able to offer some great ideas which we had not thought of previously. Whilst on site Tim's craftsmanship and quality of work was fantastic with every last detail finished off perfectly. We have had many comments on the work done so far and we have asked Tim to do some more work for us next year. The relaxed, professional and above all personal touch afforded to us by Tim made the option of choosing Rinaldi Furniture to do the work in our house a very easy decision.

We had alcoves of uneven size to each side of the chimney-breast and looked for someone to fix shelving and cupboards into the space. We are very glad that we chose Tim Ranaldi as his work turned out to be excellent, he even suggested some ways in which he could use alternative materials in certain areas which would make savings on the cost of the project without impacting on the look of the finished result. Tim also designed and constructed a pelmet feature that connected the two sides and allowed us to include concealed lighting. After taking measurements Tim went back to his office and emailed us a 3d impression of the finished construction which turned out to be perfectly accurate. The units were initially constructed at his workshop before final fitting. The way he has made them fit precisely into the existing space (including the skirting boards) is very impressive. The installation took about a day and the room was left perfectly clean and tidy. Overall we could not be happier with the way the work was done or the outcome.

Tim and I have now worked together on a number of projects where our client has needed bespoke items. He works to a very high standard and can always be relied upon. I would not consider using anyone else.

Tim designed & built a dressing room for me in my new house. This included large double wardrobes along one side of the room with a chest of drawers & bench top along the other. Tim built it in pippy oak and the result looks spectacular - the highest standard of craftsmanship. Tim made me some wonderful bookshelves which create a much needed focal point in a small study. I may not have been the easiest customer as I wasn't really sure what style I wanted. All I knew was that I wanted something slightly out of the ordinary. So Tim came for several visits and listened patiently to my lack of clarity. With Tim's skilful help we soon had some firmer ideas. The final proposal was for bookshelves with curved fronts and using two different types of wood. The shelves are fitted floor to ceiling and are easily movable. A year on, I'm still very happy with my shelves and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tim.

We recently commissioned Tim Rinaldi Furniture to replace the whole of our bedroom wardrobe doors, eight in total, and the job was completed to a very high standard which exceeded our expectations. This is the fourth time we have chosen this company in the last couple of years ( built-in drawers, bespoke oak sideboard and childrens bedroom cupboards all made to measure) and we have always been delighted by the friendly professional service he has provided.
