We are highly impressed with SP Furniture & Joinery and have used them on 4 separate occasions to sympathetically update and enhance our Georgian Townhouse. On this occasion, Alex designed and installed a set of bespoke oak shelves in our lounge. He took the time to understand our vision and use and then suggest options to get the most cost effective and space efficient design. We are really pleased with the end result and personal service. We would highly recommend Alex's exceptional craftsmanship.

We used SP Furniture & Joinery to design, build and install a large set of fitted wardrobes and a storage cupboard. From initial consultation through to the finished installation they were amazing. They helped us design the wardrobes and cupboards and provided multiple revisions of detailed drawings until we were happy with the design. During the installation they were clean, tidy, courteous and extremely professional at all times. The finished wardrobes and storage cupboard have been installed and finished to an unbelievable standard and they look amazing in our room. They were so good they will be coming back in a couple of weeks to sort out our kitchen for us! Amazing from start to finish.

Alex is, first and foremost, completely customer centric. He went to great lengths to ensure that he understood precisely what we wanted and kept in regular contact throughout the design process to check our requirements. In addition, he proactively liaised with other tradespeople to ensure that the whole process ran smoothly. The quality of his work is immaculate. It has surpassed our expectations and we are incredibly pleased with the result. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to anyone. He is exceptional.

Alex has made and fitted some beautiful cupboards in our Georgian dining room. They look completely original. He listened carefully to what we wanted and then designed, made, painted and fitted them. They are of the highest standard. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He went on to design and fit a superb mantle in our living room. He’s professional, skilled, reliable and easy to communicate with. Busy but definitely worth waiting for.

Alex was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We are so pleased with the work Alex has completed for us. Alex communicated with us clearly and talked us through every step of our projects, Alex always arrived when he said he would and left our house immaculate after working in it. We have had two pieces built by Alex - a fitted wardrobe and a cupboard. He does what can only be described as an amazing job. Everything is done to the highest standard, including the fitting.

Alex has completed our job, on time and on budget. This was the first job and I would recommend that anyone who has the patience to wait for a craftsman, wait....you won't be disappointed. I had four separate joiners look at this job and from the initial meeting Alex stood out as a professional with the ability to listen and translate my words into an excellent computer visual that confirmed my wishes. Every email was answered without delay and our communication has been clear, giving me the confidence to never have any concerns. We were invited to visit Alex's workshop which was very educational and reassuring to see a project he was currently working on. A second site visit for exact measurements was made and detail drawings produced. We were given an opportunity to make any edits and we were glad to make one. As the furniture was produced, Alex kept us updated with photographs and that was a lovely touch. When the production was 80% complete we were invited to come back to the workshop to inspect the finish, we really appreciated all of these generous opportunities to be involved. The units were fitted with extreme care and without any mess for us to tidy up. The finish is first class, looks beautiful and has enhanced our property. I love it when a tradesman is this much of a pleasure to work with.

I would not hesitate to recommend Alex to others, in fact I already have. His workmanship is excellent and he was polite and kept everything perfectly tidy. He built bespoke dressing room cabinets, study cabinets and bookshelves and also desks. They all look beautiful. I have done many interior projects and will now always come to Alex for any joinery.

From our first contact to completion of our project we cannot fault Alex. Attention to detail was what set Alex’s quote apart and this was his forte, as he took our idea for a TV unit in a difficult space and created a beautiful piece of furniture for us. His craftsmanship and knowledge is of a very high standard, and he is easy to communicate with. It has been a pleasure to have Alex and his wife working in our home, and they have left the room spotless each day. Having looked at a number of options, it became obvious that only bespoke cabinets, which would have to incorporate an existing fire surround, were going to be suitable for my average sized living room. Alex listened to the brief and within days had sent me a 3D design of what the finished article would look like. Once we had agreed to proceed, he was happy to work both during the week and on weekends, to fit in with my schedule; nothing was too much trouble. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. Paint colour was matched to the existing wall colour and the fire surround taken away to be resprayed to match and resituated. Lighting was added and Alex was more than able to overcome any electrical and wiring issues that needed solving. Alex worked unobtrusively and was respectful of all the other furniture in the room and in the house itself. Dustcovers were put down on entering the house and everything was cleaned and returned to its usual place before departing, so that any inconvenience whilst the work was being completed, was minimised. I have sought advice from Houzz before and am so glad that I came upon Alex. The reviews I read, were all so complimentary about his work and I can only endorse them further. I am absolutely delighted with the finished cabinets, which not only look great but provide much needed storage. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants a first class craftsman.

Alex fitted a cupboard in our hallway to help declutter. The craftsmanship is superb as is the quality of the finish. It looks lovely, and the colour and detailing is perfectly matched to the rest of the fittings in the house. The work was carried out with the minimum of fuss and we are extremely happy with the result. We would not hesitate to ask Alex to carry out other projects in the future.
