Having amassed many years in the carpet trade, Dennis Hush set up Ideal Carpets in the autumn of 2001 in a redundant Tyre Depot in Berwick Upon Tweed. Business grew steadily over the next few years as Ideal Carpets built up a reputation for supplying value for money floorcoverings and delivering and fitting on time. In 2004 Dennis took over ownership of Ideal Carpets, and set about building on the strong foundations he had established. Over the next few years most carpet fitting was brought "in-house" ensuring a uniform high quality of workmanship, and John Rimmer was recruited, bringing with him a wealth of retail experience and commitment to customer delight. 2007 saw Ideal Carpets get into beds! After many requests from customers we diversified, and as well as continuing to carry out domestic and selected contract floor coverings we started to sell beds.
