“At Studio Spice we worked with Jonathan De Friend to source 400 sq m of flooring and staircase cladding for a large private residential renovation project. We were looking for something contemporary but organic. He found for us a bespoke wall to wall planks solution, using high grade ash, that was engineered in the UK, so with minimal carbon footprint. He liaised between us and the mill, oversaw installation, was excellent in coordinating timelines and installation conditions with the main contractor and made great suggestions for smaller details, such as threshold detailing and position of cuts.
