We had an excellent service from the Fulham Branch. We chose an Amtico floor for our kitchen. It was at a difficult time during Covid but they managed to supply and fit the floor in good time. Lloyd was charming to deal with at the shop and Stephen very professional fitting and laying it. Can certainly recommend The Flooring Group.

We bought our floor from the Hampstead branch. Asked for lacquered engineered oak at about 90£/m2. The delivery person was extremely rude to my wife (threatening/bullying) and threw the wood (unboxed, just saran wrap at edges of 8-plank pile) on dirty floor of room being painted. We discover upon inspection that the wood is not lacquered but oiled (!) and that they had charged us 633£ for 3 bottles of glue that were 10£ each on Amazon! I'm sure they'll argue that this is the providers not them. If so, why do they take a cut? At this point my confidence in this provider was shattered and I tried to get my money back so I could install equivalent lacquered floor. Th company director categorically refused and tried to have the oiled wood lacquered quickly (not sure how that's possible, i.e. how many coats can you put over 2 days?), and then installed free of charge by them at a much later point. This would not include the skirting etc to finish the job which I had lined up with my builder and would lose. I was due to move into the apartment in a few days time so I needed the floor installed at the set date, with my builder completing the work before we moved in. Their solution would have had us move into an unfinished floor. I threatened with legal action to which the company director replied by telling me they have the upper hand in these matters through legal insurance. They "educated" me that what it says on the bill is what is meant to be delivered. Turns out the bill does not mention lacquered or oiled, but our email chain order with the Hampstead flooring group does. Another mistake on the bill is that the planks are described as 19mm (not 190mm). I turned the tables on them and asked to deliver exactly what's on the bill (19 mm planks). At this point they backtracked quickly saying that what's on the bill does not matter so much. Once the legal prospect became a possibility, they switched all comms to email, and in which various callous statements regarding our situation indicated that their solicitors assured them that a delay of a matter of weeks would be found most reasonable in a court of law. This is when I told them that they'd put my family (2 WFH jobs + 1.5 year old toddler) in a horrible situation. When I explained why their "solution" would not work, they proceeded to describe how their solicitors assured them that our building timeline and subsequent costs are of course not their concern. Their contract is purely to supply the wood, with no timeline otherwise stated. I'm capturing the above so that others are aware of these crucial policy details. In the end, we had to go ahead and install the oiled floor otherwise we'd be living in a construction site for months thanks to the Hampstead flooring group. No compensation has been provided for this mistreatment. The true character of a business is shown when they deal with issues. I'd steer clear.

Decided to place Amtico laminated flooring in the bedrooms, the same that I had on the hallway and living room. Extremely please for having gone with Islington Flooring Company, they were truly great. Had a very good first impression when I reached out for a quote for the service, again a really good impression when they came to do some measurements and a excellent feedback from the tem that placed the floor. They really are professional, took the time to explain what joiners they recommended and which one looked best and the flooring placement is really great, my rooms look awesome. Truly recommend them!
