“Nigel Wilson of Auspicious Furniture designed and built my kitchen and also my en suite bathroom cupboards. From the outset Nigel contributed many excellent ideas, while always taking into account my own. He spent a long time in the flat talking the project through, paying great attention to the aesthetics of the job as well as the practicalities. I live in a converted, Grade II listed, woollen mill and we both wanted the work, while being modern and functional, to fit in with the character of the mill. There were also unusual technical problems to overcome in a converted industrial building and Nigel always came up with solutions with great flair and creativity. The quality of the work and materials was exceptionally high and the whole project extremely good value. I was so pleased with the result that I went back to Nigel a few months later to make cabinets and bookshelves for my bedroom and study and window shutters for the study and kitchen. He is a craftsman who cares.”

The reason we chose Mark and his partner Jean was that from the outset they demonstrated great patience through the process of the design, walking us through a range of options but also listening to what were our particular needs for the finished kitchen as well as the attention to detail which came through during the building work and the fitting out to a quality finished spec. We were, and continue to be, absolutely delighted with the finished kitchen and thoroughly enjoy using it every day. Although there was some disruption in our day to day life during the work Mark and his team endeavoured to minimise this as much as possible. “The requirement was to convert our 15 year old kitchen with breakfast bar into a full dining kitchen. Our kitchen which is approx 12ft by 12ft was very restricted in it's layout. The brief was to provide a kitchen where we could comfortably seat 6 people when required around a dining table and to include a tall fridge/freezer, combi-microwave oven, combi-steam oven, an induction hob with extractor fan above and a new double sink with filter tap. A silestone worktop was also included. In addition, cupboard space was to be added in the utility room to compensate for the loss of cupboards in the kitchen. Angela and her team suggested in-built recycling and waste bins that would give a clean finish. She also suggested new storage cupboards that would make the best use of the awkward corners which was previously dead space. The end result provided exactly what we were looking for and has changed our lives for the better. The whole kitchen now flows beautifully. A few additions were included like the shelving and wine rack which provided that little extra storage as well as adding a little interest to the finished look. We also requested a surround for the wall mounted TV to match the wood used for the cupboards in order to hide the wall brackets. Lucas, the on-site project manager did a fantastic job on this and indeed on the whole kitchen. It completed the look. The project took 10 and a half days which included the removal of the old ceramic tiled floor which then had to be levelled and laid with new tiles. The kitchen is now a pleasure to cook and dine in. All of the Bower Willis team are very professional and a pleasure to work with providing excellent expert advice. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to transform their kitchen.”

“We used Andy’s team of professionals for our kitchen in a new extension and were extremely pleased with the results - as a result we are using them for other work also. Unlike other firms, it is GENUINELY bespoke: they don’t just adjust standard cabinet models, they make everything themselves from scratch. The quality of work was superb - its over a year since the work was done and it still looks brand new despite some heavy use/abuse. The materials are solid and built to last, and the firm are able to use their years of experience to suggest tweaks to exisiting ideas that we hadn’t thought of, while actually listening to what we want (none of your pushy sales patter here). Cost wise it is comparable to somewhere like John Lewis (maybe a bit cheaper) but the quality and service is leagues ahead. They are tidy, polite and meet deadlines set. Can’t recommend enough.”
