“We wanted to build an Orangery onto our Grade 2 listed building, our initial thoughts were to use painted hard work, However after contacting several companies, we found that Richmond Oak came out at a very competitive price to a well known competitor in hard wood. Oak would compliment the lovely Hamstone our home is built with so this sparked our interest. Colin the representative from Richmond Oak was very knowledgeable and of his product and how the project should be designed and built, there was no hard sell, he took time to listen to what we wanted and worked with us . He also was sympathetic to the conservation officers criteria the resulting build was all that we dreamed of. As things got going we liaised mainly with Paul, the head man at Richmond Oak, its fair to say he was available at almost any hour, nice to know whatever the worry he would be there to try and solve our hitches and allay our worries no matter how small or silly, this took a lot of stress out of what could have been a very worrying time. From the deliverery of the Oak to the final fitting of the lantern roof Richmond Oaks attention to detail was phenomenal.Dave there workman worked the most amazing hours and was considerate and helpful to the other builders on site. We had seventeen windows, two patio doors, two doors and an Orangery from this company, Paul took time to make sure all the latches , handles, hinges etc sat well with the rest of our home, not selling us what he wanted to make the most profit on or had left over, but took great care and attention sourcing what the customer wanted. Its true to say we invested a huge amount in Richmond Oak but the product speaks for itself, should we ever need to do such a project again, this company would be our first port of call, we would expect a discount for being a returning customer !”

“my inspiration was to create a sheltered area is part of the garden. i wanted a minimal construction i had quote form other who were more expensive. we together cleverly future proofed the veranda by adding steels so it can be glazed at a later date. the instal install went well. the fitters were friendly & tidy and completed the veranda on time. they kept me informed throughout the process. i ham happy with results. not cheap but value for money.”
