“Kimber assisted me with my window coverings when I moved into a new home. It was a big project, with many windows to cover. She was excellent in helping me select fabrics that would both compliment my interior space and function well for each room. We even did a motorization for the window coverings in the living room and it worked out beautifully. Kimber was there to help oversee the installation as well, which went very smoothly. “Great solutions to our sunny side of the house issues we had with the rolling shutters. Made 3 rooms that would become very warm all afternoon, extremely comfortable and usable again! Now we also have an "outdoor living room" thanks to our beautiful retractable awning. The striped fabric we chose looks great against the paint color of the house. Excellent service and products all with German parts and made locally here in San Jose, we really are very happy with our choices! Great company to work with.”

“Christine is the best. Chose her after an extensive search and comparison of 5 bids for the blinds and drapes for my wife's hair styling salon. Christine showed up right on time for the estimate, made the measurements and then took us through all the options. She listened carefully to what look we were trying to achieve and then gave us some great advice. We should have listened to her the first time. The installation went great and was done on time, right when Christine said it would be. However, the window blinds that we chose, instead of taking Christine's advice, just didn't achieve the look we were going for. I called Christine and told her we should have taken her original advice. She went to work immediately with the manufacturer and worked out an exchange so the manufacturer reused all the hardware from the original blinds and only charged for the new blind fabric. The second installation went just as well as the first. We love the look. Thank you, Christine!”

“Stan did an excellent job on our project. We'd just redecorated and wanted to protect our new furnishings, curtains and rugs from fading. First he discussed our options; what levels of sun protection we might want in different windows, the types of films available, etc. He showed with samples when he came to give an estimate, which helped me understand the differences. When it came time for installation, he was punctual, courteous and neat. We even left for the afternoon and he let himself out when done--that's how much I trust him (he'd been here before with his wife Rhonda, who does absolutely amazing wallpaper installation). Can't recommend him enough if you're thinking of sun protective coatings. Which, by the way, you don't notice at all.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
