“Best awnings ever. Thanks RA!! So I hardly ever write reviews – it’s just not really my thing but I felt really compelled to write one for RA Awnings because they just did a bang-up job. You know how it is when people are super professional but also kind of friendly too, well yeah, those guys are like that. Me and my wife decided that we really wanted a retractable awning for our patio so we could spend more time outside without getting burned to a crisp. We chose RA Ultra Luxe in the end (even though the other options were nice too) and man, we couldn't be any happier! The awning just looks awesome and is kind of high tech too with angle changes for optimal shade and fancy LED lights for evenings. Super cool. The team that came to install were great. Showed up on time, didn't leave a mess and just really professional. And the awning itself? What a game changer! No exaggeration, our patio just feels more comfortable and looks great too. We’ve actually started spending more time outside and our friends have given us some really nice compliments. For a luxury buy the awning offers value for money when you consider the durability and peace of mind that comes with the 5 year guarantee. Anyway, that's the end of my rant haha. Just wanted to say a big shout out to the RA team. You guys did a solid job and we love our new awning. Highly recommend these folks if you’re needing something like this. “Melissa Hutcheson's blinds have made the world of difference to my bedrooms: finally, no more street light seeping in at night! I have two very different sized windows in my master bedroom, but Melissa found a way to unite them with her blinds. I get so many compliments on the choice of fabric, too. Melissa made choosing entirely painless, by not drowning me in samples, and quickly understanding my tastes (despite the house being only partially furnished and undecorated at the time of her first visit). I would warmly recommend Melissa's services.”

“Not only did Spiffy Spools produce a beautiful roman shade for me, but they provided excellent customer service. I had originally order my shade with a ribbon border, this is a significant up charge. Their designers didn't think the color and pattern layout matched with the ribbon. They carefully laid it all out and emailed me photos so I could make an informed decision. I choose to leave it off. They fully credited me for the border. The shade is significantly better without it and I am so glad they spoke up. Upon install they quickly responded to my emails with questions and were always friendly! I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.”

Since then we have worked for each others' customers a few times and all our customers have found him to be very professional. Having seen his results, I too have always been impressed. Kevin is a very respectful and caring person who takes a pride in offering a first class service and it is always a pleasure to do business with #Completely Blinds. “I have rented my house in London for many many years. Phoenix Interiors hands down did the best curtain and blind clean I have yet seen. Seriously, old blinds looked fresh again. Not only that, at an inexpensive rate they fixed all issues. A dream clean. Thank you Matthew!!”

They handled a very large order expertly and advised and supported me in my choices of fabrics and styles drawing on their expertise. The curtains blinds and cushions were all beautifully made and hung with great attention to detail - all the fittings also. “Andrea offered a great service to us from start to finish, she is very knowledgeable about fabric and helped us choose the best type of headings and sizes for all the curtains in our house. The finishes of all the curtains Andrea made for us were brilliant and we have had many compliments from friends and family. She offered additional support in hanging the curtains and when we had a problem with one of the curtains due to the heaviness of the fabric, Andrea kindly resolved this for us very quickly. “Westcot House has made me interlined triple-pleat curtains, roman blinds and plush cushions. Apart from the exceptionally high quality of the finish, I've had help with choosing fabrics (Tor has excellent knowledge of all the designers you've heard of, as well as plenty that you haven't), styles, fixtures (poles and blind fittings) as well as the finishing touch.... putting the finished product in place. I couldn't recommend Westcot House highly enough.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
