“We had the whole front elevation of our house fitted with internal plantation shutters in mid-September, 2018. This included the large bay windows for the lounge and front bedroom, a second bedroom window and a reception area window. From the samples shown to us by Jerry we very quickly chose a hardwood, Paulownia, finished in a white washed effect that enhanced the wood's grain. The quote for the work from George came in at a price that competed well with other products that did not offer solid wood and quality of finish. And although there was a lengthy wait for the shutters to be manufactured in China and shipped to the UK we felt that the wait would be worth it. We were delighted when the shutters arrived on time and were promptly fitted to a high standard. We can thoroughly recommend this company for their quality of service, product, fitting and adherence to quoted costs, delivery and completion times.”

“I purchased vertical blinds from this Company and I am very impressed with the speed and quality of the product. I did my own exact measurements, which I double checked, of the two windows in my lounge and the blinds are a perfect fit, as the company allows a margin for fitting in the recess. They look beautiful now they are in situ, and I was spoilt for choice with the variation of whites and creams and patterns available. All types of blinds are catered for so it was a difficult decision to take, but I am very happy with my eventual choice. The prices are so readonable that I am about to order more for a juliette balcony door that I have. They kept me well informed of delivery date and time by text and by tracking information.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
