“We had the whole front elevation of our house fitted with internal plantation shutters in mid-September, 2018. This included the large bay windows for the lounge and front bedroom, a second bedroom window and a reception area window. From the samples shown to us by Jerry we very quickly chose a hardwood, Paulownia, finished in a white washed effect that enhanced the wood's grain. The quote for the work from George came in at a price that competed well with other products that did not offer solid wood and quality of finish. And although there was a lengthy wait for the shutters to be manufactured in China and shipped to the UK we felt that the wait would be worth it. We were delighted when the shutters arrived on time and were promptly fitted to a high standard. We can thoroughly recommend this company for their quality of service, product, fitting and adherence to quoted costs, delivery and completion times.”

“What a fantastic service offered by Maxine from Intrio Interiors based in Skipton. Very helpful and professional nothing was to much trouble when she supplied and fitted my pelmets, curtains, blinds, cushions and chair upholstery in my home. Her attention to detail was very impressive and she helped me choose some fabulous fabrics from her vast collection of sample books. Must also give a mention to Darren who works alongside Maxine helping her to fit and dress the products as he too was first class and did a superb job. Would not hesitate to recommend Intrio Interiors for all soft furnishings they are just fantastic and I am truly delighted with the jobs they have done for me.”

“Excellent job and very good value for money, had 2 pairs of curtains made, Doreen sourced the fabric and lining for me and came out to measure up, hassle free. Very pleased with end product only slight down would be they needed a really good pressing. Would recommend to friends. Think you may need bigger premises as you seem to have outgrown them. “R.J. Reynolds provided us with 15 large blinds for a project in Walthamstow. The blinds were grouped into 3's and there was artwork across them all. They ensured that the artwork lined up correctly which was a very difficult task. They delivered on time and organised a installer. Great communication and attention to detail. Would recommend them.”

Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
