“Not only did Spiffy Spools produce a beautiful roman shade for me, but they provided excellent customer service. I had originally order my shade with a ribbon border, this is a significant up charge. Their designers didn't think the color and pattern layout matched with the ribbon. They carefully laid it all out and emailed me photos so I could make an informed decision. I choose to leave it off. They fully credited me for the border. The shade is significantly better without it and I am so glad they spoke up. Upon install they quickly responded to my emails with questions and were always friendly! I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.”

“I would highly recommend Nowest. I have used their services twice so far for my house. “Westcot House has made me interlined triple-pleat curtains, roman blinds and plush cushions. Apart from the exceptionally high quality of the finish, I've had help with choosing fabrics (Tor has excellent knowledge of all the designers you've heard of, as well as plenty that you haven't), styles, fixtures (poles and blind fittings) as well as the finishing touch.... putting the finished product in place. When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
