“I love our Weather Queen Shades! Ever since the day they were installed in early June we haven't missed a night sleeping in our porch (and it's now October in Minnesota!). My favorite nights are the rainy ones when the shades are down. Those nights it feels like we are miles away from home sleeping in a tent, a yurt, or a Japanese tea house. It's cozy, private, dry and beautiful in there. Buying Weather Queen Shades is the best thing we've ever done for our house, second only to building the screen porch. The shades are of the highest quality. You can tell they were designed with not only functionality in mind, but also beauty and quality. Working with Carla and her team was just great. “I worked with Judy Ciaciura (Designer) for new custom drapery treatments in my open dining and living room floor plan. I do not enter my room without thinking I achieved exactly the look I wanted. Elegant detail without hiding the unique shapes of my windows. The bay window in the dining room and the 2 tall arch windows on each side of the fireplace in the living room were a challenge. The pleated drapery panels provided the perfect solution. Judy's detail suggestions of contrast buttons, edge banding, and crystal accent rope tiebacks gave me the quite elegance I was looking for. The concept renderings of the treatments on my windows prior to placing my order was also very helpful and gave me confidence in our style decision. The designer and installer collaboration resulted in exactly what I had hoped to achieve. I could not be more pleased. Thank you!”

They listened to what we described as options we preferred, showed us choices within and outside of our comfort zone (as we requested), carefully measured and skillfully installed the window treatments. “Pre-sale I contacted several other vendors for cellular blinds and got samples from them (highly recommend to get samples!). Window2Decor provided the best quality (comparable to high priced, popular vendors such as Bali) at the best price. So if you are looking for cellular blinds, I recommend you give them a try. Ordering They have a great easy to use website and offer good discounts. Aside from their already low price, the discounts are awesome especially because I was planning to order more than $1000 worth of blinds. Customer service Don was great in answering my questions (and I had a lot). Especially because I was deciding what to do with a troublesome door window. I ended up not using cellular blinds for that but he was nonetheless very helpful, accomodating and honest on what would and what wouldn't work. I appreciate that. I also got updates on when the shades were being shipped and other status conditions. And one time, I had to change the size of the blinds (I didn't double check my entry when I sent the order and found out about the error a day later) and Don was very accommodating about it. Delivery The blinds got to me the day it was promised (if not earlier.. i ordered in batches so there was more than one delivery) and in excellent condition. Product I love my cellular shades!”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
Any fabric can be used, but generally the most common types of fabric used are cotton, silk, linen, polyester, and combinations of these due to their lighter weight and insulating properties.
