“I recently moved house, to a new area I am not familiar with, and wanted some help with window furnishings. Closs & Hamblin contacted by phone initially and asked me about my project, they arranged for a lady to come out to measure, and bring a variety of fabric samples. Julie was really helpful, and spent time listening to my ideas, then measured the windows, and advised on both poles and curtain headings. She then helped me choose the right fabric to go with my sofa, and talked through how the order would be made and fitted. I was then sent a quote, which I accepted. The curtains were hand made and delivered by a fitter, who installed the poles, and hung the curtains - again a seamless process. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, they were really friendly, listened to my requirements, kept me informed all the way through my order and delivered everything on time.”

“Tim and Liz are professional, polite and friendly in their approach. The shutters they fitted (which were without doubt the best value on offer) are a great product and look stunning in our house. “Leanne offered a free measure and quote for the windows which required curtains and blinds in my first new house. She was very knowledgeable of the industry and gave her advice to what she thought would look best in our home. She offered a wide range of fabric choices and talked through what would block out the most sun for light sleepers! Very useful and helpful and I would highly recommend. I sleep well at night now with proper curtains in my bedroom!”

“Absolutely love the shutters from le louvre, they look beautiful and finish the look of the rooms perfectly.they were very helpful and had a range of different shutters choose from. When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
