“I have worked with Judy Wilfong for about a year on multiple projects. I have found her to be professional, responsive, and knowledgable. She delivers on time and within budget. Equally important to me is the more personal relationship that has developed. She has, so to speak, "gotten into my head." She understands my comfort zone and helps me push those boundaries a bit. “This is actually the 4th time I have used this company to install blinds, shades and shutters in multiple homes where I have lived and for my mom' house. Bryan is great for ideas and they have an extensive line of options to choose from. I received a quote from a large player in this market the time before this last project just to see what their pricing would be. Blind, Shade & Shutter Co. came in significantly lower with a higher quality product line. Install always has gone smoothly and they make sure you are entirely satisfied. Do not choose any other company if you need window coverings!”

“We hired The Feathered Nest to help us redecorate our family room. Over the years we have purchased furnishings that we loved as well as inherited furniture from relatives. “I had a very unusual closet and Justin worked with me to maximize the available space to configure a closet system that was both functional and beautiful!! He spent a lot of time listening to my ideas and even customized a brand new pull-out shelf for shoes that works beautifully. The workers made sure that everything fit perfectly and Justin oversaw the process from start to finish. No mess and they even removed their shoes before walking on the carpet. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
