“Daniel from London Interior Shutters visited my property on a design consultation in January. He was professional and communicated my options well and advised what shall best suit my decor. He had a tablet with lots of previous work so I could visualise what he proposed. He also kindly left samples with me so I could later discuss with my partner. Shutters were installed within 6 weeks and look gorgeous. Great customer care, from design to installation”

“Kim has done 5 rooms of blinds over the past 18months for us and has been great at suggesting fabrics and explaining the pro's and cons of various options. She has also shown a willingness to climb through a building site as well. Her fitter Steve is also great and very patient with my inquisitive children. We have had plain, patterns and bay windows, all of which are beautifully done and expertly fitted. I would definetely recommend her”

“Vine house interiors are an amazing company. I have used them for 20 years and never have they let me down. Maggie, Keith and their team work brilliant together. Maggie has vision and Keith worries about little details. I have had full curtains, pelmets, blinds, throws and table cloths made by Vine house and every time I have been delighted. Maggie has worked with me to deign a room from a blank canvas to a room where we have had to work around existing furniture. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The items are made to such a high standard that you cannot fault anything. Keith puts the curtains up beautifully, never any hassle or stress. I will certainly carry on using Vine House Interiors.”

“Ada & Ina provided us with 5 free samples which is a great help when deciding and choosing fabrics. They were a good size and gave a good representation of the colour and quality of fabric. We ended up ordering fabric to make window seat cushions. The quality and thread of the linen was very high, making a very smart upholstery project. The fabric arrived quickly and trade accounts are also available which is a great help. I would definitely recommend to any one in the future.”

“Leanne offered a free measure and quote for the windows which required curtains and blinds in my first new house. She was very knowledgeable of the industry and gave her advice to what she thought would look best in our home. She offered a wide range of fabric choices and talked through what would block out the most sun for light sleepers! Very useful and helpful and I would highly recommend. When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
