“It was a delight working with CPDC Decor and Candace on my recent project. CPDC constructed custom curtains for several rooms of a large home, throw pillows, custom-shaped seat cushions for antique chairs, and even curtains for cabinet doors. They were able to provide hardware, some of the fabrics, and installation services. The workmanship is perfect, the work was completed quickly and my client is thrilled with the results. “I worked with Rick Mintzell and his assistant Josh Knox on a Hunter Douglas PowerView motorization installation project. PowerView is the latest motorization system offered by Hunter Douglas the leading window experts in the industry. PowerView motorization just came out last summer. Rick was referred to me through Hunter Douglas. He has a wealth of experience as both an installer and having served in sales. He has worked in this industry for over 30 years. Rick and I met with the client to measure and customize our installation. There were a variety of challenges in this first floor area. We had a custom arch, a window set at the second story of the home, and we were customizing the motorization of the Architella window shades. Rick and I had in home visits and various phone conversations to make sure that we had prepared for a stellar installation. Rick delivered. Rick is very punctual, responsive, and knowledgeable. “I had Style Redux review the window treatments in my townhome, which I am preparing to sell. I am a single man who has lived in this home for about 10 years so the window treatments were minimal and rather plain to say the least. Ms. Weatherbie (Style Redux) spent considerable time with me discussing my interests, needs, and (especially) my budget. She then came back with several alternatives, varying the approach from one room to another based on furnishings and what she sensed of my tastes. I am not a person who pays a lot of attention to the nuances of color and fabric, but Ms. Weatherbie proposed drapes and other window treatments that are tasteful and within my budget. She delivered designs and talked through them with me, delivered finished products when she promised, and oversaw their installation. I could not be happier with her work and will use her services on my new home when the opportunity permits.”

“I had a very unusual window in a high-rise condo that I wanted to dress up. The window is part of the building's curtain wall so doesn't have standard framing around it, and an HVAC duct in front of it would keep traditional shutters from swinging open. Andy and I discussed options for light and sound management, plus aesthetics, and he proposed a combination of room-darkening honeycomb blinds with remote control and plantations shutters held on with magnets to a custom frame built around the window. I liked his ideas and absolutely love the final result. I also replaced damaged vertical blinds in another room with remote controlled honeycomb blinds after going over the options with Andy. I was very pleased with his ability to think of unique solutions to my particular problems and to work with me towards a final design. Installation was also very well done. I strongly recommend Montgomery Blinds for shutters and blinds for any situation, but particularly if you have any window that is out of the ordinary.”

In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
