“Budget blinds restrung seven of my roman shades. Their work was outstanding as was their timeliness and courtesy. I was having painting done at the same time. When the painters ran late I asked Budget Blinds if they could wait a few days to rehang my shades. Well a few days turned into a few weeks but Budget Blinds keep my shades with out any problems. When the painters were done I contacted Budget Blinds and Jennifer promptly came out and rehung my shades. The price was right and so was the service.”

“I highly recommend Vera! I had her cover cushions for me for an antique rocker and picked a plaid fabric and she had everything matched up beautifully with zippers in each cushion so they could be easily removed if necessary. I was so pleased that I also had her cover a king size headboard for me and her work is so precise and professional. I will most certainly use her again for other projects I have been waiting to get done. I’m attaching photos to show off her work.”

“Brian and his team are a rare breed. In this day in age most all companies could care less about offering stellar customer service. I mean truly wonderful customer service... Ya'll know what I mean out there!!!:) Well, somehow Brian and his talent team of carpenters have found a way to defy this. Shutterhub not only handcrafts beautiful build to spec shutters but they go the extra mile for anything and everything you may need. My husband and I recently bought a rehab and wow has it been project. From an exterior standpoint of the transformation I can honestly say that the biggest compliments served were on how great the shutters look. “We hired "Two Blind Girls" (Budget Blinds of the Northland) to do our window treatments on our new home. We had about 40 windows done, mostly wood blinds, but also some roman shades. We were extremely pleased with the service we received! Natalie was wonderful when providing ideas and available options, and really helped narrow things down for us in regards to fabrics that would look beautiful. The installation went extremely well too. We encountered one minor problem with one of the shades (a manufacturing problem) and we received excellent and timely service with the repair. We'd definitely hire them again!”

“We contacted Tina at the late stage of a new house build after the company recommended by the builder provided unacceptable customer service (so we ditched them). Tina provided excellent service for a new house installation (all rooms). She was knowledgeable and had great ideas. She took photos of rooms, and then had software to show us what different window treatments would look like in the rooms - this was really helpful. She was also very thorough and conscientious. She measured everything twice so there were no errors. We were extremely pleased with the product and installation (she was on-site during installation), and will definitely use her again as any needs arise. We would definitely recommend her.”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
