“Before moving into our new home, we wanted to replace the flooring in the living room, dining room and kitchen, changing the style from a rustic, country look to a clean, modern design. We were also on a tight timeline, because we had already scheduled the movers. And we are picky about design, so it was not an easy task we set for ourselves. We found Interiors and Textiles by searching online for anywhere local that carried a certain brand of flooring. Then we stopped by for a look at all types of flooring -- carpet, vinyl, wood -- wanting something with a designer look. We found the sales team to be very helpful, not at all pushy, and sympathetic to our tastes and time constraints. And we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of wood flooring, and changed our design plan as a result. Interiors and Textiles was able to install the flooring within our timeline. They started just a few days after our purchase, by removing the old imported Italian tile flooring. Then by our move-in date, they had the new floor ready for us to move in, and stopped back a few days later to make sure we were happy and to add the final finishing touches, like the trim. Overall, we were very happy with the product selection, the sales team, the service, the installers and the results. We were able to get flooring that you couldn't find at a big box store or a discount warehouse, and to get it installed quickly. We will stop by again for our next remodeling project.”

“Gladys is a true professional and is the perfect example of great customer service! We love the shutters and blinds we ordered from her, especially the custom shutters for a big arch window in our family room (see photo). We reached out to a few companies when we were searching for shutters and blinds, but Gladys was the most responsive. She also took a lot of time to explain options to us and was very patient when I changed my mind and had to add to the order. The installation crew (Jeff and Jessie) are really nice guys too!”

“Kimber assisted me with my window coverings when I moved into a new home. It was a big project, with many windows to cover. She was excellent in helping me select fabrics that would both compliment my interior space and function well for each room. We even did a motorization for the window coverings in the living room and it worked out beautifully. Kimber was there to help oversee the installation as well, which went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Kimber.”

“I'm glad to have found with A Saberi Interiors! I needed the carpet replaced in two bedrooms in my condo and they definitely delivered! This was my first time going through the carpet buying/replacing experience and I can't say enough how helpful both Tristan and James were. They walked me through the entire process, helped me to select the carpet I was looking for, and promptly had it installed --the turnaround time was super quick! Lastly, their crew was very professional and trustworthy. I had a ton of furniture that needed to be moved in order for the work to be performed and they handled that as well, no questions asked! “I had Jeff Johnson come to my home to give us an estimate on a closet that I wanted to turn into a pantry/office closet. He was on time for the appointment and was very pleasant and knowledgeable during the consultation. He listened to all of my needs and concerns and had options for me to choose from. He was able to do a 3-D rendering on his laptop so I could tell what the closet would look like. Other companies are still just drawing the design out on a sketch pad. He represented Bay Home and Window very well and I would highly recommend him. I have chosen not to purchase at this time because of some remodeling we are doing, but will definitely call him when we are ready.”

“Christine is the best. Chose her after an extensive search and comparison of 5 bids for the blinds and drapes for my wife's hair styling salon. Christine showed up right on time for the estimate, made the measurements and then took us through all the options. She listened carefully to what look we were trying to achieve and then gave us some great advice. We should have listened to her the first time. The installation went great and was done on time, right when Christine said it would be. However, the window blinds that we chose, instead of taking Christine's advice, just didn't achieve the look we were going for. I called Christine and told her we should have taken her original advice. She went to work immediately with the manufacturer and worked out an exchange so the manufacturer reused all the hardware from the original blinds and only charged for the new blind fabric. The second installation went just as well as the first. We love the look. Thank you, Christine!”

“Great solutions to our sunny side of the house issues we had with the rolling shutters. Made 3 rooms that would become very warm all afternoon, extremely comfortable and usable again! Now we also have an "outdoor living room" thanks to our beautiful retractable awning. The striped fabric we chose looks great against the paint color of the house. Excellent service and products all with German parts and made locally here in San Jose, we really are very happy with our choices! Great company to work with.”

“I first hired Doreen from Windows and Beyond about 20 years ago when my kids were just babies. She did a wonderful job with our starter home which had very tall windows. Doreen managed to do a combination of drapery panels and Hunter Douglas products that made our home very cozy. She also made the kids room very vibrant. We didn't need to update anything when we sold our home. Doreen's approach really stuck with me because she took the time to think through our needs. I used Doreen again when we moved to our second home. The kids were older then so we did a formal living room but kept the rest of the house contemporary. Again when we sold our house the second time, it showed very well largely due to the window treatments. Of course I used Doreen again for our last move. This time I went with Doreen's recommendation to use motorization. I thought only my husband would appreciate the remote but I love it too. I dont know how much time I save not having to open and close each window shade. Of all the times I've used Doreen, she never just sell me on the same style. She always introduce the new products first and then see what my new needs are before suggesting the right products for us. That's why I'll definitely use her again!”

When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
Any fabric can be used, but generally the most common types of fabric used are cotton, silk, linen, polyester, and combinations of these due to their lighter weight and insulating properties.
