Pret A Vivre specialise in made to measure curtains and blinds. We have four London based showrooms in Fulham, Islington, Notting Hill and Muswell Hill. Our service is unique in that we offer a finite range of fabrics which we make up into either curtains and blinds and show these on our website and in our showrooms. Our fabrics are sensibly priced ranging from £25 - £99 per metre approximately. This approach helps our customers to visualise and make a decision. We offer a personalised service with our design consultants offering expertise advice on technical aspects of curtains and blinds and style and colour advice : all the team are very familiar with the most well known designer brand paints so can give guidance on which fabrics will work well with any given paint scheme.

I have recently moved house and have used my local Pret a Vivre in Islington for all the curtains and blinds in my new house. They provided an excellent service, always helpful in the showroom with advice (especially Christina) and fabric samples; and the measurers and fitters were friendly and efficient. They have a wide range of plain fabrics in lots of colours, perhaps they could have more patterned fabrics? Everyone did a great job and I am very pleased with the finished results, everything is beautifully made. Moving is a stressful experience, but Pret a Vivre certainly helped to take some of the pressure away!

I have been very pleased with the company, from the very friendly and helpful staff, through to the beautiful blinds & professional fitting. From the start Alienor, the Showroom Manager, was able to give clear and helpful design advice in choosing the material. Many samples were sent, which could then be considered in the room. She was always available to discuss any questions on fabric and colour choice. This made the whole process so much easier and streamlined. Plus this was all completed during Covid times, and I was very impressed by their policy to protect both their employees and customers. I have already told many people to contact them, and I would highly-recommend them for any of their products. I will certainly be returning when I need some more items. Pret A Vivre have supplied and fitted my apartment curtains and more recently electric sheer blinds. I have found their service to be very prompt and efficient from start to finish. The quality of their fabrics is very high. Fran at the Islington branch was able to advise me on the choice of fabrics and put together a design and the materials which would give me the look i wanted. Exceptional service from these creative curtain, blinds and fabric specialists. They're totally on it, whether your priority is to maximize light, make a statement with a blind, or combine blinds and curtains for heat and light efficiency. They have a huge selection of fabrics from which to choose, and, great advice is always on hand for those moments when you're not quite sure whether a roller blind would do it for the huge staircase drop, or if roman blinds would be better. They were certainly right on that one. Everything is expertly fitted, and, if you made the mistake of not having the blind automated, their talented, charming and polite fitter is just the person to fix that. If you're looking for people who know what they're doing, have great ideas, a wide range of fabrics, and a talented, dedicated team of people to deal with every step of the way, look no futher.

For a while now i have been meaning to look into getting a voile solution fitted as my flat faces onto a busy road in London and i would love to get a bit of privacy so that those on buses or walking below on the street can't look straight in. So, bearing in mind that everything has pretty much been shut down due to COVID-19, it was a pleasant surprise to receive an email from Pret A Vivre saying that they could provide a temporary voile solution for this period, which was great! So after contacting them stating my interest, only a couple of days later i received a reply, giving me more information and asking me to send measurements of which windows i wanted the temporary voiles for, along with pictures of those windows. I was further pleased to find out that any money spent on a temporary voile would be fully refunded against a future order of curtains or blinds. Once i had sent all the measurements, pictures and paid for the voiles on a Sunday (which were very affordable and with P&P included), my order was processed, accepted and dispatched all on the Monday. I received my temporary voiles the very next day on Tuesday morning. The speed in which i received by voiles and the quality of them is fantastic. Once lockdown is over, i will definitely be organising to get permanent voiles fitted by Pret A Vivre. I couldn't recommend them any higher!

The combination of the two linen rich fabrics, voile Monique and Linen Chintz worked beautifully alongside each other to create an elegant scheme. Unfortunately with the price of linen these days, any fabric with a high linen content is much more expensive than cotton or synthetic mix fabrics. However, the quality of the linen gives the superb drape and finish and I am glad you consider it to have been a good decision not to go with the less expensive cotton options. It was a pleasure to work with you and I’d be happy to assist on any further projects.
