Garden Hideouts

EDITED June'19 - I purchased a custom sized ARCA garden room from Garden Hideouts. My experience was one of initial elation followed by some disappointment in final stages. I had some issues near the end, but after contacting head office they were rectified - they did not disappear on me and ensured I was happy by the end. Positive: My house was a little larger than their standard offering but I was assured this was no issue. They are actually very flexible on what they can do for you, but don't advertise that on their website, so if you want anything custom just ask. The guys work hard, but I advise making sure they and you know what's being done each day as the internal communications between workers and company could be improved. They turned up and the guys on site worked hard and before long the house framework was up and watertight. I didn't even mind that sometimes they left early as it was a sunny day or the football was on, as they seemed to be making good progress. Negative; the guys on site did seem to run out of time in the second week (maybe it was because of those half days), and the main person on site did disappear onto another job halfway though mine (3.5days). I felt this affected my build, the guys seemed to be trying to achieve too much in too little time near the end, rushing things. This meant quality suffered right at the end and caused some unnecessary extra work that needed to be rectified. The small niggles at the end seemed to take an age to get rectified, and my contact went quiet. I felt annoyed at this. I accept that accidents and issues occur, it's how a company deals with them that matters, and silent treatment is never a good approach. Eventually I contacted head office and the manager there was very good and things started to happen again, he ensured things were fixed ASAP and it's because of this that I have edited my review. So although things did take a while at the end, the main office for Garden Hideouts DID come through and ensure that all my problems were dealt with, so my initial bad review has been updated to reflect a much better final review (this one).

Garden Hideouts built for me a really nice hobby room. They used really high quality materials and fittings. It was a complete project right from working out a design to the final decorating and was a ready to enjoy new room when finish, complete with electrics, lighting and heating. Their workers as well as being skilled craftsmen were helpful, kind and fun. There were several times during the project when they hit upon an unforeseen situation and every time they came up with a really good solution. If anybody want an extra space for their favourite activity Garden Hideouts are the right people to get in touch with.

I have only the highest praise for Garden Hideouts. From the first phone contact through to the evaluation phone call at the end of the project to check on our satisfaction, the approach was wholly friendly and professional.. Any small issues that arose after the building of the Pod were dealt with swiftly and with courtesy. I was also amazed at how quickly the building was completed due entirely to the hard work and diligence of the craftsmen. I am delighted with the finished product and hope to enjoy my Pod for many years to come. I would be happy to include a photo but cannot find where to upload it.
