Britbuild did a fantastic job of transforming the downstairs of our Victorian terraces house in SE London. They completed the side return extension on time and with forensic attention to detail. Ivan was on hand and on call 24/7 to address any concerns or questions we had. We are delighted with the work Britbuild have done for us and already recommended them to several friends. 10/10!

Ivan, Chris and the team converted our attic into two bedrooms and an en-suite shower room. We had previously used them to build a new roof on our old flat and we knew they would do an excellent job with the attic. From the very beginning communication was great and the build was finished on time and to budget. We’ve very happy with the work, it’s of a very high standard, and we look forward to working with them again.

We came across Britbuild whilst they were completing a loft extension on a neighbour’s house. Our first contact was with Chris who was leading the team and had been impressed not only by the quality of the work but also by how tidy they had kept the site - we live on a narrow cul-de-sac and there have been several issue with other builders in the past so we were keen not to upset our neighbours during the build. We met Ivan and the rest of the team and decided they were the builders for us. Initially we were planning just the loft conversion and an extension however we seized the opportunity to have the whole house renovated which included everything from new walls, electrics, plumbing and everything else through to final decorating. Throughout the entire process, which took several months, the team were totally professional. The quality of their work is first class, their advice was solid and unbiased, they were able to suggest very workable solutions to any problems that arose and kept the site extremely tidy. The team were very punctual and impressed us with their hard work ethic which they maintained throughout the very hot weather that we experienced at the time. They sent us regular pictures of the work as they progressed, especially at the beginning when it was difficult for us to access the areas they were working in. We chose to continue living on site during the entire build which undoubtedly added to their build time and caused them some issues. However at no time were we made to feel like it was an inconvenience and their site manger Bogdan and the team went out of their way to ensure that we had access to essential services so we could continue to live in the house. We should also add that they are an extremely friendly, respectful and likeable bunch which really made a difference. As a result we have a fantastic home which we are loving and, as the house settles down, they have attended to any inevitable snagging. We would unreservedly recommend them and should we ever be in the position to renovate again they would be our first port of call.

Britbuild Direct built a two floor extension for us. From start to finish, the hardworking team were dedicated, professional and polite. The management and team worked in a collaborative way, were flexible and proactive in finding solutions to various challenges which arose during the build and delivered a high quality end product.

We worked with Britbuild Direct on a 12 month refurbishment project in Walthamstow. They worked both as primary contractor and project managers and exceeded our expectations in all regards. They were flexible, accommodating and communicative throughout, sending almost daily updates and photos and making us feel really involved in the entire process. Every member of the team showed immense pride in their work and treated the property, neighbours and us with respect. We were also introduced to quality tradespeople and consultants as the project required. Their attention to detail and quality of finish was outstanding. We were delighted with the finished property and would strongly recommend the Britbuild team.

Ivan and his team have completed a few jobs for us at different times (bedrooms and bathroom). Each time he has been efficient, all the work has been a high standard and for a fair price. We definitely recommend them.

We needed a family home for our future needs, we had a 2 year old and a second child on the way. We purchased a 1930 mock tufa house in Ealing’s conservation area that needed complete gutting out and reconfiguring internally, plus a loft conversion with an altered roof, a rear extension and an outhouse and a complete reworked garden that had badly overgrown. We looked at 3 different build companies and out of the 3, Britbuild seemed the most fair and honest and the guys seemed very knowledgeable, Throughout the build Ivan and Chris proved these points and also demonstrated empathy and understanding of our situation and the extremely stressful position we were in. They started the work with a lot of enthusiasm and completely gutted the house in a matter of 3 weeks, so all that was left behind was the front of the house, the side walls and part of the back wall. All internal space, walls, floors, pipes, electrics, etc plus the roof were all removed and disposed off. The build process was planned very well and the guys just got on with it. Floors and the reconfigured walls, pipes, doors, electrics, etc went up very quickly as per plans. Loft and roof build happened in parallel. Also did the rear extension build. At one point we had over 14 men working at any one time. How they didn’t get in each other’s way, I have no idea. Then came the build of the outhouse which housed the boiler room also, part of the current build was dilapidated and so need knocking down, rebuilt and extended by 3 meters. Again it was all vary basic for Britbuild and completed it all in time for the heating expert to start the initial implementation of the boiler and underfloor heating. They engaged with a underfloor heating design company that took our floor plans and built a bespoke UFH system fit for our needs. My wife is a designer and her attention to detail is good and she had designed some bespoke kitchen and bathrooms. Brit build listened and worked with her closely to implement her ideas and final designs throughout the house. Their patience and communication with us was spot with regular visits, calls, emails and best of all the use of group WhatsApp. The final stages took some time as Britbuild have a strong belief that the final finish must be perfect. Their sanding, painting, sanding, painting, sanding and painting again. Was crazy, but the final results are great and all of our family and friends have commented on the final finish. We now have the family home we dreamed about and start to finish of the whole thing took just 9 months. An amazing achievement given the size of the house and the amount of work needed to get the final results. Added to this, Ivan and his team took most of the stress away and we found a very good way to work together, given I was working away from home most of the days. After the experience not only did we get our much loved home, but we gained a very honest and genuine friend in Ivan and his team. Thanks Ivan and the Brit Build team. Ivan and his team did a lovely job at my property. The works involved carpentry, plumbing and decorating of my loft. Britbuild Direct were life savers as I was stuck with unfinished loft conversion and they were absolute first class in helping me out with seeing the project through. We will be delighted to have them back for the next phase of works at our property - installation of new modern kitchen. We are already in the process of recommending their professional services to friends and family.

I can highly recommend Britbuild. We’ve worked with them on a couple of projects now and have always been very pleased with the results. Ivan told us the start date of our project 2 months in advance and true to his word on a chilly Monday morning in January Ivan and his team were on my door step and ready to go. Ivan asked if it would be ok to meet the neighbours and introduce himself before starting with the demolition and the inevitable noise and disruption that comes with having the back elevation of your house removed. I would soon learn that it is these little touches and consideration that mark Britbuild and Ivan out as excellent compared to the rest. Ivan organised the project with great professionalism and had a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the build from simple things like logistics and permits to planning and building control laws. The over all build of the new extention was not without it’s issues which were solely down to the indecision and changes that my wife and I would make on an almost weekly basis, Ivan was completely understanding and accommodating to these changes, nothing we asked of him was ever an issue, if we were not happy he was not happy. The build was completed on time and bang on the estimation Ivan had quoted us (which was on a par with the other 4 quotes we had sourced) The finished extenstion was of the absolute highest standards and looked stunning. We had planned to only do new kitchen extension with Britbuild but they have just completed a new bathroom/wet room installation for us and plastered the whole top floor of our house! Later in the year Ivan and his team will be ripping up and relaying a new driveway for us as well as a full re decoration to the external elevations of our house. I would highly recommend Britbuild Direct Ltd for any type of domestic or commercial construction works, they are in a different league compaired to other companies I have met in this industry.
