As soon as I met John I could tell we were on the same page ...it was sooooooo easy working with him ... he kept me informed of pretty much everything or what I needed to know. I have got not the time or intention to deal with every single detail! John was always on top of things so I just didn't worry or bothered ! My budget wasn't big, however John and his team were able to bring the project alive with high expectations and pretty much ticking all the boxes required with no hassle and minimal work for me involved (if any!) John's team is the best of the best ... tidy top workers selected from their skills and total professionals. I had a full bedroom with partial reform of upstairs/landing and hallway ... all with final decor, flooring and our fav beautiful fitted wardrobes ... From start to finish ... 1st class ! “We used Carl and his team to convert our double garage to a large kitchen diner, also to knock through into a bedroom to create a new bathroom and finally tile, update electrics and decorate our hallway. We were slightly nervous as we had never done any renovations before, however Carl was great in explaining every step to us and communication throughout the team and us was perfect. The build has been challenging with the garage throwing up some unexpected foundation problems but this was nothing that the team couldn’t cope with. Carl even stepped in to help with some issues that we were having with an external supplier that we brought into the build. Everyone onsite was extremely friendly, professional and tidy and the end finish is better than what we could ever of wished for. We now have our dream kitchen and bathroom! I would highly recommend Carl and his team and will not hesitate to use them in the future. We would like to say a special thank you to Carl, Dean, Sean, and Yani, but all the team are amazing.”

“Firstly we love our house, a very damp run down semi - which we genuinely regretted buying - was turned into a really wonderful home. The money, the hassle, the occasional nightmare - was all worth it. As a family I think we are at our happiest in this house. Design Woodmans worked really well with our architect which meant our design was faithfully reproduced and Brent's input on material choices was invaluable in acheiving the look we had imagined. Project Management Woodmans provided an excellent project manager who was always available and ensured that deadlines were met. We actually miss our weekly meetings - they were good fun. Details Lovely curved joins between hall ceilings and landings, lifting a window by an inch so that no-one would ever know, making sure a lip of a free standing bath doesn't interfere with the look of an original Victorian sash window, scaling the height of the skirting boards to match individual room heights etc etc. This was all done without being on the plans or without us asking - exactly what clients want but don't know how to ask for. Skills The new stairs to the 2nd floor loft room extension replicate the original Victorian stairs so faithfully that visitors simply assume they are original. One guest we had - an engineer responsible for cooling systems in nuclear power stations (they use a lot of ceramic tiles) - thought the tiling in our bathrooms was faultless. A damp cold 2 story, 1 bath house has become a warm, dry 3 story, 3 bath house without issue. I love the plumbing. Wherever we said toilet, shower, bath or radiator - Woodmans made it happen without any compromise. The decoration is superb because Woodmans painters corrected blemishes and noticed problems as they went, mostly things we wouldn't have spotted - proper professionals. Good people There is a mind-set to doing a job properly and the team who built our house had it - from the guys turning up on time in the morning right through to the dreaded email from Viv to collect the cash at the end of the day - how does she manage to make asking for so much money seem so easy! We enjoyed getting to know you all.”
