“Having been initially impressed by Nick's work on his own home, my first contact with him was some years ago when he designed a loft conversion for me at a previous address.
I therefore had no hesitation in asking him to design and help oversee the work at my new house in 2016, which involved expanding a shower room in a loft conversion within its existing planning remit and re-modelling the downstairs living area.
In the loft, he successfully doubled the size of my shower room.
In the living area, one of the drawbacks was that the house is mid-terrace Edwardian and it can be quite dark. Nick specialises in maximising light and he used glass in a way that has transformed the property while still retaining the character of the original building.
I was also struggling for storage space and he was able to create much more which, while unobtrusive, more than meets my needs.
Nick's is straightforward and friendly to deal with and I'd certainly recommend him.”

“James did a great job for us in our flat, replacing all the internal doors and installing associated door furniture etc - laying a v. complex parquet floor amazingly well and also levelling the joists underneath as well as installing extra insulation beneath the floor. He also built us two sets of floor to ceiling wardrobes which turned out brilliantly and he also built us alcove units and cupboards in our sitting room. James is great to deal with and his workmanship is top quality. We can't recommend him highly enough and will definitely use him again in the future.”

“We hired Nick and Paul at Raylian to lead a tricky 550 m2 office conversion into residential space in a prime location central Chiswick.
Along with the practice personal creative skills I was very impressed by their technical know how. The teams knowledge of building regulations, local authority planning requirements and technical building skills saved me a substantial amount in architects fees and it was comforting to experience their confidence when addressing the builders and trades and the respect they attracted.
The creative design planning stage and specification for finishes and furnishings was professional and stress free. It was great to have a designer sketch their ideas while explaining their thoughts. Discussing ideas in 3D is a real advantage.
Given the licence to express themselves they came up with some really great ideas.
Project management was equally important, especially with all the H&S requirements attached to the industry these days. I also felt once the budget was approved they made a good effort to protect it right through to completion.
